RIDING 4 CHARITY

http://www.riding4charity.org/

Saved by uncleflo on May 13th, 2012.

The ride is raising funds specifically for Aegis’ unique peace-building education programme in Rwanda, where a million people were killed during the genocide in 1994. Aegis is helping a new generation to learn about the dangers of prejudice and building trust between the children of survivors and perpetrators of the 1994 genocide. Recent independent analysis has found that not only is the education programme changing attitudes and behaviour among the students taking part, but also among the school communities from which they come – including fellow students who didn’t attend. Thanks to match funding of up to $100,000 (approximately £62,000) from OneWorld Boston for donations in support of this peace-building education programme, Aegis is now able to double every pound or dollar contributed through sponsorship for the London-Paris ride – making your contribution worth twice as much!
