The London Houseboat is a unique place to stay when visiting London. The boat sits on one of the best moorings within Limehouse Marina, just down the River Thames from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. The boat, custom-built in Liverpool in 2023, is designed with every comfort in mind, including two double bedrooms, a luxuriously equipped bathroom with freestanding bath and rainforest shower, a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, and an open plan living area with a smart TV and super fast broadband. There are radiators throughout the boat making it a warm and comfortable home all year round. You enter the boat at the stern where there is a wooden semi-circular dining table which comfortably seats six people, with beautiful views out across the whole marina. The TABARKA lies upside down in 12m of water to the south of the INVERLANE. The only passages in and out of the inverted ship are the blast holes which caused her to sink. The two main areas of interest in the TABARKA are the quarry full of boulders (loaded into the vessel to help her sink quickly). The second is the substantial boiler room. Here, three huge boilers have dropped from their mounting points.

Canvey Island Tide Times. Canvey Island Weather is a private weather station based on Canvey Island, Essex. I have been collecting data since September 2009, initially using an Oregon WMR 200 weather station. Archived data is available on the site dating from January 2010. On the 1st of August 2016 I installed a Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station with Daytime Fan-Aspirated Radiation Sheild. The station consists of, anemometer, rain gauge, thermo-hydro sensor, UV sensor and solar sensor, all situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible. Data is collected at intervals between 2.5 seconds and 60 seconds (depending on the sensor) and the website is fully updated every 5 minutes, using Weather Display Software as the interface. The software runs exclusively on a ACEPC AK1 Mini Desktop PC, running Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H1. The complete set up runs 24/7.

The information provided by the RYA is written as a guide for a UK flagged Pleasure Vessel operated by somebody who is established (resident) in the UK. It may not be applicable to boats registered with other flag states, those who are established elsewhere and vessels that are operated commercially. If you are boating abroad and you find something is different or come across something new, please let us know by emailing cruising@rya.org.uk. A UK flagged vessel must wear her ensign as required by the Merchant Shipping Act 1995, which includes when entering or leaving a foreign port and on demand. It is recommended that the ensign is worn at all times in daylight, especially when near to or in sight of land or another vessel. The Coastal State may also have legislation which mandates an ensign being worn at other times.
