Stainless steel grade 301 is usually supplied in the form of strips and wires, with a tensile strength of up to 1800 Mpa, to produce tempers ranging from 1/16 Hard to Full Hard. By subjecting grade 301 to controlled analysis it is capable of retaining sufficient ductility even in ½ hard conditions. This form of grade 301 may be used in aircraft, rail car components and architectural structures. Tempers of this grade, ranging from ¾ to full hard, may be used in applications requiring high wear resistance and spring features with simple form designs. Grade 301L, which is the low carbon form of grade 301, is the ideal choice for applications that require good ductility. Grade 301LN is another variant. This contains a higher percentage of nitrogen and exhibits a higher work harden rate compared to standard 301. Only grade 301 is specified in ASTM A666. 301L and 301LN are represented by other conventions. Grade 301L is represented by JIS G4305 and 301LN by EN10088-2 as grade 1.4318.

I went to college at St. Norberts just outside of Green Bay (GO PACKERS!) and finished up there with a BA in Psychology and Sociology. Finding out a little too late into the curriculum, I decided that I didn’t really want to spend the rest of my life listening to people complain about themselves (yea, I had some internships that left a bad taste in my mouth). So, after graduation I was off to figure out what it is that I REALLY wanted to do with my life. I bounced around a bit, met the lovely person who is now my Wife, bought a sailboat and we lived on it for a while. Became a scuba instructor, but decided that boats were something that called out to me. I took an entry level apprenticeship position at one of the local marinas and after roughly 7 years with them I decided to pull the trigger and venture off on my own. Miller Boatworks was created, and the rest as they say is history! During grid outages PV Inverter production cannot occur, so a home with a PV inverter system installed will not have power during an outage. However for homes that have a PV Inverter system installed and are already selling power to the grid, it is still possible to retrofit backup power using ConextTM XW Pro, XW+ or SW inverter chargers. In a FIT program either ConextTM XW Pro, XW+ or SW is added behind PV inverter to provide backup, no change to PV inverter FIT wiring is required. However backup power is limited to the capacity of the battery bank and the solar system cannot be used to charge the batteries while the grid is down. In a NET metered program the ConextTM XW Pro or XW+ inverter charger is added in front of PV inverter to provide backup power. The PV inverter is rewired from the grid connection to critical load subpanel and AC Couple is on AC Output port.
