Tamron 18-400mm EF-S lens I've been disappointed by the performance of both Canon & Sigma small extreme telephoto zoom lenses, particularly sharpness at the long focal lenses. Then along comes this 18-400mm lens that is the exception to the rule. It autofocuses well even at 400m zoom (at F6.3) given reasonable contrast. Focus is quiet, the anti-vibration feature provides a useful damping of shake, and at F8 the images is less than about 1 pixel blurred even at this huge zoom. At wide angle there is a little exposure fall-off at the corners. Not exceptionally lightweight but perfectly well balanced with the EOS 7D - quite a heavy camera for an EF-S mount. This lens has transformed the usefulness of the 7D as a medium sized setup to for wildlife photography. Not not quite at the quality of an EOS 1D Mk IV + huge and heavy Sigma 50-500mm IS (NLA) but much easier carry and hold and a good choice for a long trek.

You could call it one giant leap for 3D printing. California’s Rocket Lab just completed its 100th additive-printed Rutherford Engine as it targets cheaper rocket launches and space missions. The company has been on a tear since it created the world’s first 3D-printed, electric turbo-pump fed engine in 2013. Since then, it's launched 70 Rutherford engines to space with various companies—with the most recent one being on June 29. “The Rutherford engine has played an integral part in enabling Rocket Lab to make frequent and reliable launch a reality for small satellites,” Rocket Lab CEO Peter Beck said in a statement. “It’s a testament to our innovative design and manufacturing teams that we’ve achieved everything we set out to do in just a few short years; an entirely new type of rocket engine that delivers unmatched performance, boasts a proven record of 100% launch reliability and can be manufactured quickly and efficiently.” From here, the production is going to step up. The company plans to produce 200 Rutherford engines in the next year, on the back of improved 3D printing facilities in Huntington Beach, California. These engines will launch from Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand, and Launch Complex 2 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport in Wallops Island, Virginia.

The colors are self explanatory with green the lightest antivirus and yellow second best. At the other end, red is the heaviest and orange the next most memory hungry. While these results obviously test the antivirus memory usage, they don’t take into account the features present in each application and its detection rates. Therefore you shouldn’t automatically assume lighter is better because a more memory efficient program might not have the amount of features of an antivirus using a few more Megabytes. If your current package is hungry for memory, this does give you a good idea of what the lightest antivirus packages are that you might like to look at a bit closer.
