Who’s who at Operation Wallacea South Africa: Director of Operations – Peter Herbst, PADI course director Peter Herbst (BigB), has been involved with Opwall in Mozambique since 2008 as sub-contractor and diving coordinator. Lizl Stegmann, Lizl Stegmann is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer that works at Reef Divers in Pretoria, South Africa.

This payment service is for use by all staff, students, volunteers and school groups participating in Operation Wallacea's Scientific Expedition to Indonesia in 2012. It enables pre-payment to be made for both Domestic Travel and On-Site Services not included in payments made to Operation Wallacea. All payments are payable to the Wallacea Biodiversity Institute, a legally registered organization through which Operation Wallacea conducts its research programs in Indonesia. Whilst completing Step 1 and Step 2 forms, please refer to information found by clicking on 'arrows' located adjacent to category headings.

Operation Wallacea is an organisation that operates biological and conservation management research programmes in remote locations across the world. In 2012/13 the expeditions are operating in 11 countries: Indonesia, Honduras, Egypt, Cuba, South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar, Peru, Guyana, Romania, and Mexico. In order to help expedition members who are undertaking diving, we have put together some equipment packages that will ensure that you have the equipment you need to make the most out of your diving training and research. Op Wallacea requires all expedition members to have their own basic equipment and we have put together a package at an extremely low price. Not only that, but 10% of all profits made from the sale of equipment to Op Wallacea expedition members is given to Op Wallacea and helps towards funding conservation efforts in some way!

The Hoga Marine Research Station is ideally situated in the centre of the coral triangle, the area with the most biologically diverse coral reefs on the planet. Preparing yourself for an expedition to a remote location can be very daunting.
