How can I get my PAC code? Answer: If you are leaving giffgaff to another service provider, you will probably want to transfer your phone number. To do so you need to give a Porting Authorization Code (PAC) to your new provider. There are two possible ways to receive this PAC code: Asking for your PAC code with a computer or Asking for your PAC code with your handset

It's easy to bring your number across to giffgaff - that way your friends will still know how to get hold of you! Provided you have fulfilled any contractual agreement you may have with your current Service Provider you can request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from them. If you want a PAC before your minimum contract term is over, you might need to pay a fee; typically that'd be your remaining line rental.
