While the multiplayer Ego-Shooter Half-Life 2: Deathmatch has been available for Linux for a while now, its single-player counterpart Half-Life 2 including Episode 1, Episode 2 and Lost Coast was just released for Linux. In the first-person shooter Half-Life 2, the player takes on role of the protagonist Gordon Freeman with the aim to rid the earth of an alien race. The game shines with an exciting and varied action and is undoubtedly one of the most successful game titles from Valve.
