Star Citizen is a multiplayer space trading and combat simulation game that is in development. The game is being developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games for Microsoft Windows. A spiritual successor to 2003's Freelancer, Star Citizen is being led by director Chris Roberts. The game was announced on October 18, 2012 through a successful Kickstarter campaign which drew in over US$2 million. Pre-production of the game began in 2010, with production starting in 2011. Star Citizen has become highly criticized during its long production process, both for the fact that there is still no clear release date and for the challenges backers who have abandoned the project have faced in receiving a refund. The launch of the game was originally anticipated for 2014, but was repeatedly delayed. In 2013, Cloud Imperium Games began releasing parts of the game, known as "modules", to provide players with the opportunity to experience gameplay features prior to release. The latest of these modules, known as the "Persistent Universe", was made available for testing to pre-purchasers in 2015 and continues to receive updates. No projected date for the commercial release of Star Citizen is currently given.

The aim of the project is to create an easy to use, lightweight, cross-browser, general purpose 3D library. The current builds only include a WebGL renderer but WebGPU (experimental), SVG and CSS3D renderers are also available in the examples. The recommended format for importing and exporting assets is glTF (GL Transmission Format). Because glTF is focused on runtime asset delivery, it is compact to transmit and fast to load. three.js provides loaders for many other popular formats like FBX, Collada or OBJ as well. Work for CaesarIA began in 2009, it was a wide screen mod for Caesar III. In 2012 development moved to a standalone game with its own engine. In 2014, the game was released in steam, but still open-source software. It is an open-source remake of the popular citybuilder/economic strategy - Caesar III, videogame by Empressions Games. Now, CaesarIA is still in development phase, which means an early experimental stage. It is playable, and you can already download and test the game, but some features yet still missing. When CaesarIA will be released? It is very hard to quetion. Even after we are done implementing all the features, we will want to continue work for new features and testing. Information about release will be posted.

We've seen the forward kinematics problem. The inverse kinematics problem is much more interesting and its solution is more useful. At the position level, the problem is stated as, "Given the desired position of the robot's hand, what must be the angles at all of the robots joints?" Humans solve this problem all the time without even thinking about it. When you are eating your cereal in the morning you just reach out and grab your spoon. You don't think, "my shoulder needs to do this, my elbow needs to do that, etc." Below we will look at how most robots have to solve the problem. We will start with a very simple example.

In board games, card games, and text-adventure games, the game updates only in response to player input, but in most video games the state updates continuously over time. Entities move, scores increase, health decreases, and objects fall, speed up, and slow down. Therefore we need a game loop that can update() and render() our game world. When running in the browser, all javascript code is executed in a single thread, the UI thread (not counting WebWorkers). Which means we can’t run a naive infinite game loop.

Snell's law (also known as the Snell–Descartes law and the law of refraction) is a formula used to describe the relationship between the angles of incidence and refraction, when referring to light or other waves passing through a boundary between two different isotropic media, such as water, glass, or air. In optics, the law is used in ray tracing to compute the angles of incidence or refraction, and in experimental optics to find the refractive index of a material. The law is also satisfied in metamaterials, which allow light to be bent "backward" at a negative angle of refraction with a negative refractive index.

Where James Cameron's 1986 film Aliens has been a major influence on video games since its release, and has seen a number of high-profile game adaptations and spinoffs, Ridley Scott's original Alien in 1979 has stood apart. Cameron's big guns and action scenes allowed for an easy power-fantasy hook — despite the intended anti-war message of the film itself — while Scott's frail human prey and solitary alien killer seem less easily adapted.
