It exists solely to build UFOs; bringing foiling to the masses. While Fulcrum is a young company its roots are old. The boat was designed and developed by Steve Clark, President of Vanguard Sailboats 1987-2007, and his son Dave Clark, the president of Fulcrum Speedworks. A variable speed wind turbine is disclosed comprising a turbine rotor that drives an AC induction generator, a power converter that converts the generator output to fixed-frequency AC power, a generator controller, and an inverter controller. The generator controller uses field orientation to regulate either stator currents or voltages to control the torque reacted by the generator. The inverter controller regulates the output currents to supply multi-phase AC power having leading or lagging currents at an angle specified by a power factor control signal.

COMMStellation™ is scheduled for launch in 2018. MSCI’s COMMStellation™ will orbit the earth at a height of 1,000 kilometres circling the earth in a polar orientation. COMMStellation™ will be comprised of 72 microsatellites in 6 orbital planes with an additional 12 redundant microsatellites (2 per orbital plane). In its current configuration, COMMStellation™ will provide 100% global coverage with up to 15 times the speed and 10 times the total bandwidth capacity of a MEO constellation of comparable satellites.
