See For Yourself- With the Summer 2019 Improvement Walk Video Fulcrum Speedworks is a medium sized elite marine manufacturing company located in Bristol, Rhode island. It exists solely to build UFOs; bringing foiling to the masses. While Fulcrum is a young company its roots are old. The boat was designed and developed by Steve Clark, President of Vanguard Sailboats 1987-2007, and his son Dave Clark, the president of Fulcrum Speedworks. Since it’s inception, Fulcrum has built a production team around industry veterans with multi-decade careers in the high-performance boatbuilding industry. Experience is an invaluable asset at every level of the boatbuilding profession. Fulcrum manufactures UFOs in their entirety at their Bristol facility, at 253 Franklin Street. Produced by Paulo Camatta, specializing in process developments such as RTM Light, conventional and silicone skin infusion, vacuum lamination and model and mold making. This video was developed based on the operational training courses given at CETECOM - Composite Technology Center until February 2017, with the aim of providing technological innovations in thermoset polymer composite processes. This video briefly demonstrates mold construction and the vacuum assisted RTM Light - Resin Transfer Molding process.
