Install Red5 on Windows: The videos below will show how I was able to install Red5 on Windows. I did them as a 'note to self'. It was difficult to figure out the installation so I tried to document everything I did, in order to remember and not have go through it again the next time. I recommend watching ALL VIDEOS, and watching them in the order they appear below. I used the resources at the bottom of the page. You may want to check them out.

I’ve been playing with Red5, an open source alternative to Adobe’s Flash Communication Server. My Eclipse setup just died on me, so in the process of setting up eclipse for developing the Red5 server, I’ll put up a quick tutorial on using eclipse to work with Red5. Note that this is aimed more towards hacking on Red5 itself than writing applications that use Red5, although the latter will definitely benefit from starting with the setup I’ll be doing. Tools we will be installing: JDK SE 1.6, Eclipse SDK (Eclipse Classic), Spring IDE plugin for Spring development, IvyDE for dependency management using the Ivy system, Subclipse for SVN management

Red5 is a free, open source Java implementation of a Flash Media Server based on reverse engineering of RTMP and AMF protocols. It supports streaming and recording of audio/video, live stream publishing, and Flash remoting.
