Modern Shtandart was built in 1999 is a functional training tallship. While at maritime festivals in European ports, Shtandart always compels very close attention of the public. And her crew has the opportunity to visit various celebrations and concerts, stroll along the streets of seaports, and communicate with like-minded people from different countries. Professional, safe and economically viable, the Frigate Shtandart is crewed by a core of young trainees and takes part in Tall Ship events, Maritime Festivals and visits various Ports as a Russian Ambassador. Nowadays everyone can meet with this living history vessel and gain a unique experience if becomes a member of Shtandart’s crew. Sailing aboard a real wooden tallship is a fascinating adventure in the atmosphere of the old times and also a new experience, a lot of impressions and the opportunity to meet interesting and keen on sea people. All members of the crew have an active participation in naval life and sailing the tallship.

Based on other successful schemes in Europe, the Lenox project aspires to create jobs, build transferable skills, bring pride to Deptford, and create tourism and identity. The original Lenox was built at Deptford more than 330 years ago and is unique in that all her details and specifications are known so that a true replica can be made.
