No Fly Drones

https://www.noflydrones.co.uk/

Saved by uncleflo on February 12th, 2022.

Ever asked yourself "Where can't I fly my drone in the UK?" or "What does a Flight Restriction Zone mean?" NoFlyDrones.co.uk can help. Your free, easy to use tool showing no fly zones in the UK. We use the rules and regulations of the UK Air Navigation Order (CAP393) to present a simple graphical tool to aid safe flight planning for hobbyists and professional drone operators alike. Danger Areas are areas of military airspace often used for activities such as fighter pilot training, live ammunition training or weapons and systems testing (including GPS jamming exercises). The official definition is “An airspace of defined dimensions within which activities dangerous to the flight of aircraft may exist at specified time”. HIRTA’s are High Intensity Radio Transmission Areas and flying through these areas could interfere with the electronics on board your drone. Prohibited Areas are areas of airspace which for one reason or another have been prohibited from having aircraft enter them. The official definition is “An airspace of defined dimensions above the land areas or territorial waters of a State within which the flight of aircraft is prohibited” You will have to investigate the NATS AIP for more information about why the area is prohibited.

Water systems - Jones Boatyard

Most enclosed boats will have some kind of water system on board, ranging from a single manual pump operated tap to a system featuring hot and cold water with mixer taps and showers. Marine plumbing can be a daunting subject but most pleasure craft designed for river use have surprisingly similar water systems and understanding the function of just a few key common components can really help to gain a good understanding of marine plumbing. Unlike domestic plumbing where water pressure is generally created by gravity, boats require an electric pump to generate water pressure as tanks are often level with or below the outlets they serve. The pump is therefore the heart of the system and works by cycling on and off to maintain the desired pressure and a good flow when you open a tap. Most pumps are switched on and off automatically via a pressure switch inside the pump, though some smaller pumps rely on micro switches within the taps themselves. Pumps do differ in the pressure they provide (usually in PSI) and the flow rate (usually in GPM or LPM). The size of your boat, the number of outlets the pump will serve and the complexity of the water system will dictate which pump you will need.

jacobtoye/Leaflet.iconlabel - Plugin for Leaflet to add labels to map markers

https://github.com/jacobtoye/Leaflet.iconlabel

Saved by uncleflo on May 6th, 2017.

#Leaflet.iconlabel Adds support for displaying a label to the right of a Leaflet Icon.

##Alternative plugin Leaflet.label is an alternative plugin that is a little easier to integrate. The only functionality that it does not provide is common events for the label and marker. However it does provide revealing labels for Leaflet paths (Polyline, Polygon, Circle, square etc).

##Using the plugin If you are happy with the default icon and label styles, you should be able to use it without any modifications. To create a map marker with a label, declare your marker like:

icon label leaflet map marker style js development howto github code
