A friendly but professional, family run business with an old fashioned approach to sales & customer service, situated on the waterfront of the delightful market town and boating centre of Woodbridge in Suffolk. Andy arrived in Woodbridge from the Midlands in the early 70’s to join his parents who had moved there some years before. Boating had always been the family hobby and he soon realised that whilst you could order your yacht from one of the local yards, there was nowhere to buy a dinghy to hang on the davits! He soon set about "plugging the gap" and acquired a premises on the Quayside and began buying and selling tenders, small fishing boats, sailing dinghies & day boats. His intention was to bring boating to "everyman" and his early adverts boasted that he could "get you sailing or motoring down the river for less than £500". Several thousand boat sales later it seems he was right! The business went from strength to strength and the range and size of boats he offered grew dramatically and now he has over 70 boats on display at any time, from dinghies to ocean going yachts – canoes to 40’ cruisers.

Suitable for new builds, home extensions and retrofitting, the Showersave QB1-21 and Showersave QB1-21C use the heat from the water flowing out of the shower to warm up the cold water going in. This simple heat exchange mechanism means that you spend less money on electricity or gas heating up the water to your shower. Can also be installed under "shower over bath" plumbing situations. WRAS approved. The hot and cold waters are kept separate by the double walled copper pipe design. An efficiency of +60% depending on flow rate. The QB1-21 superseds the old RECOH-VERT RV3 system. The unit is exactly the same size, however the energy efficiency has been improved. The Cyclone Top Fitting increases the efficiency of the Showersave by making the hot waste shower water swirl around and down through the central copper pipe of the Showersave. This increases the amount of time the hot water is in contact with copper pipe to maximise heat transfer. Greater heat recovery is achieved with the Cyclone top.

I am trying to show that economies follow a relatively sinusoidal growth pattern. I am building a python simulation to show that even when we let some degree of randomness take hold, we can still produce something relatively sinusoidal. I am happy with the data I'm producing, but now I'd like to find some way to get a sine graph that pretty closely matches the data. I know you can do polynomial fit, but can you do sine fit? You can use the least-square optimization function in scipy to fit any arbitrary function to another. In case of fitting a sin function, the 3 parameters to fit are the offset ('a'), amplitude ('b') and the phase ('c').

To choose the correctly sized Rocna or Vulcan anchor for your boat, follow the chart and instructions. To choose the correctly sized Rocna or Vulcan anchor, find your vessel’s length from the column on the left, then track across that row until you find the first column with a displacement (in tonnes) the same or larger than the displacement of your vessel. The top of the column with the selected displacement indicates the recommended Rocna or Vulcan anchor. Use the tabs to navigate between Metric Tonnes, Short Tonnes, and Pounds. Unlike other manufacturers, our anchor sizing recommendations are intended to provide an anchor adequate for use in most all conditions. Cooling and air-conditioning installations utilize the change of cooling agent parameters (pressure, temperature and state) when it circulates between the evaporator and the condenser in the cooling system. The cooling agent circulates driven by the refrigerating compressor. The refrigerant absorbs heat by evaporation in the evaporator, then it gives up heat when vapour is condensed in the condenser. There are many types of refrigerants (water, carbon dioxide, ammonia), however there is one special type of low-boiling hydrocarbons, called freons. Flexible freon hoses are widely used in air-conditioning systems of various vehicles (cars, machinery, trains, trams) as well as in smaller installations of industrial cooling. In these installations, freon (e.g. R134a, R1234yf) mixed with compressor oil (e.g. PAG synthetic oil) acts as a refrigerant. It circulates in the system where it undergoes continuous pressure and temperature fluctuations. Therefore, requirements concerning freon hoses are so high. It is essential for the system to be perfectly tight as freon is very penetrating, expensive and harmful to the environment. It must be highly resistant to pressure, temperature, chemicals and stop humidity from permeating the hose wall. It concerns automotive air-conditioning in particular because there, the freon hose operates in the engine compartment, tightly packed and bent, in high ambient temperature conditions, exposed to vibrations and in contact with car fluids.

Most enclosed boats will have some kind of water system on board, ranging from a single manual pump operated tap to a system featuring hot and cold water with mixer taps and showers. Marine plumbing can be a daunting subject but most pleasure craft designed for river use have surprisingly similar water systems and understanding the function of just a few key common components can really help to gain a good understanding of marine plumbing. Unlike domestic plumbing where water pressure is generally created by gravity, boats require an electric pump to generate water pressure as tanks are often level with or below the outlets they serve. The pump is therefore the heart of the system and works by cycling on and off to maintain the desired pressure and a good flow when you open a tap. Most pumps are switched on and off automatically via a pressure switch inside the pump, though some smaller pumps rely on micro switches within the taps themselves. Pumps do differ in the pressure they provide (usually in PSI) and the flow rate (usually in GPM or LPM). The size of your boat, the number of outlets the pump will serve and the complexity of the water system will dictate which pump you will need.
