Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet service is rapidly launching satellites — here's everything we know While it's still in its early stages, Starlink could very well change the internet for billions of people around the world. In our Starlink review, we were impressed by the new satellite internet service being rolled out by tech billionaire and Tesla founder Elon Musk, but because the service is in beta, there's lots of questions people have. SpaceX has launched over 1,500 Starlink satellites to date. Its most recent mission went off successfully and should continue to help cover the northern U.S., Canada and the U.K. NASA and SpaceX have also come to an information-sharing agreement to avoid orbital collisions. SpaceX is also nearing an agreement with the FCC to have it's satellites orbit at an even lower range, which should only improve signal and connectivity.

The Isle of Man Treasury has published a draft of the proposed Income Tax (Substance Requirements) Order 2018. This draft Order will, once final, and if approved by Tynwald (in December 2018), have effect in respect of accounting periods commencing on or after 1 January 2019. This means that from January 2019, companies engaging in “relevant activities” will have to demonstrate that they meet specific substance requirements, to avoid sanctions. This Order is in response to a comprehensive review that was carried out by the EU Code of Conduct Group on Business Taxation (COCG) in order to assess over 90 jurisdictions, including the Isle of Man (IOM) against standards of:

Our WeldCraftpro® training programme is a unique, specialist welder-diver training course (underwater and topside) available via approved training providers, delivered through our 'centre-lead/self-run' teaching programme. The programme is approved by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Maritime Academy and provides a certificate of verified achievement issued by EAL. EAL is part of SEMTA - Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies and is the UK’s leading qualification provider. This certification provides independent, quality assured, audited controls for the WeldCraft-Pro® training programme, making it the only externally awarded underwater welding training programme to issue internationally recognised/verified qualifications anywhere in the world. More information about EAL and SEMTA can be found here. The programme is also recognised by CPD board of The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), who are one of the oldest learned societies in the World, established in 1889. These institutions help provide quality assurance and verification procedures. The training course is based on an 80 hour work programme, split over two phases (dry and wet). The course is open to both non-welders and welders alike and follows the guidelines for The European Welding Federation (EWF) syllabus 570r1-14 for fillet welder - plate (see course syllabus for full details) with the formal coding of welder-divers in accordance with ISO 15618-1, AWS D3.6M and/or BS 4872-1.

A passport is an official, worldwide recognized and usable travel document in the format of a booklet issued by the relevant authority in a particular State to its nationals. One must make a distinction between a passport and an identity card which, as its name implies, is just a single card. Belgian passports are valid 7 years (5 years for minors). Any Belgian citizen can be issued his or her own passport starting at birth. It is possible to travel to around 50 countries using an identity card, but a passport allows its holder to travel to any country in the world, subject to fulfilling any applicable visa requirements.
