Experienced instructors, own monoflot of FAREAST 28R yachts in the beautiful Limassol Marina and, of course, the most friendly and cheerful yacht community in Cyprus. The club was founded at the end of 2017 by active yachtsmen of Cyprus, athletes and skippers, keen on sailing people. The main goal of the club is the popularization of yachting, sailing, and the formation of the teams to participate at any level offshore regattas. In December 2018, the club has more than 80 members who came from beginners and now are participating in the different sailing activities. City Sailing is owned by Paul Bew an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor and Examiner of Power Sail and Ocean and holds a Class Four Masters Certificate. He has Thirty years of instructional experience. Paul has won RORC race medals and won a Tall Ships trans-Atlantic race as Skipper. He has worked in two national sailing centres as an instructor and was a full-time skipper for the Ocean Youth Club (now Trust) for six seasons with trips as far as Australia, Azores, St Kilda and Iceland as well as three transatlantic crossings. He has also served a term as a director of the RYA for three years. Paul is a regular RYA Dinghy Senior Instructor in London and skippers for the Majestic Line on the West Coast of Scotland as well as examining for the RYA all over the world. EAL is part of SEMTA - Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies and is the UK’s leading qualification provider. This certification provides independent, quality assured, audited controls for the WeldCraft-Pro® training programme, making it the only externally awarded underwater welding training programme to issue internationally recognised/verified qualifications anywhere in the world. More information about EAL and SEMTA can be found here. The programme is also recognised by CPD board of The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), who are one of the oldest learned societies in the World, established in 1889.
