Funny animals, cute animals, fluffy animals - we've done it all. But never have we ever covered animals so serious like these guys. Now, The Grammys may have come and gone, but these beasts are already putting their game faces for new album covers to steal the awards next year. Hold on to your seat, Adele. We don't think it's a coincidence. These funny animals knew they were posing for their hotly anticipated album artworks. They've got hits for days stored in their nests, and they're just waiting for the right time to send them to radio and top all of the charts. As long as they haven't signed any exclusive contracts with Tidal, that is...

Women did not have the right to vote in most states. There was an outbreak of the Bubonic Plague in San Francisco. The first taxis started running in New York City. Oklahoma became the 46th state. The world’s first air force was established in the U.S. Army. The Boy Scouts were formed in England. And George E. Lees and Harold E. Williams formed the Lees-Williams Company, the forerunner of Williams and Company, Inc. and what would eventually become TW Metals, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. TW Metals was formed in 1998 through the merger of Tubesales and Williams & Company. Founded in 1907, Williams and Company, Inc. grew from a steel tubing distributor to one of America’s most respected providers of stainless, aluminum, copper, brass and nickel flat rolled products. Tubesales, 39 years its junior, opened in 1946 selling war surplus 4130 alloy airframe tubing on the West Coast. Like Williams, success and customer recognition helped to grow Tubesales into an international Pipe and tubing distributor. Together the two companies offer over 150 years of experience in the steel distribution business. In October of 2005 TW Metals was acquired by O’Neal Steel and is now a proud member of the family-owned parent company, O'Neal Industries, based in Birmingham, AL.

The Mikrokopter is powered by brushless motors. However, to use such motors the direct current of the batteries has to be converted to an triphasic alternating current) with power output controled so that the speed of the motors can be accurately controled. There are numerous brushless speed controlers available on the market. However very few are available which can fulfill the special requirements: We need brushless controlers which can accept a new throttle value very rapidly (< 0.5ms) and implement it. In addition the controler has to have an I2C bus interface.

I think developers and research guys who works with object recognition, image registration and other areas that uses keypoint extraction can find this post useful. Recently (from 2.4.2) a new feature descriptor algorithm was added to OpenCV library. FREAK descriptor is claimed to be superior to ORB and SURF descriptors, yet it's very fast (comparable to ORB). Also people in comments on my blog mentioned BRISK descriptor which is also new and more efficient than SURF. Well, finally i find a time to compare them and publish my research results.

Oculusai offer a unique service for sites that want more control of uploaded images. AIR REAL TIME offers instant rejection of flawed images. By registering for a free trial account you can easily test AIR. The face detection filter rejects all images that do not contain a clear human face. This includes blurred and partly covered images as well as those with poor light settings. The technology also detects and rejects sketched and animated faces. All approved images are returned with a suggested cropping area to ensure uniformity throughout a site. All images are checked against our global celebrity database and rejected if they contain a celebrity. The database is constantly updated. Customers can add any images used by scammers to our global scammer database via a URL. Any image uploaded by a user that matches one of these will be instantly rejected. As more sites contribute to the database and it expands, we can begin to eradicate known scammers from the marketplace.
