If you want to build a pier or a dock, you need good, sturdy pilings or posts to support it. Unless you have the heavy equipment to drive the pilings into the ground, you’ll either need to use a jet of water to dig a deep hole or set the pilings in concrete footers. Jetting is better for sandy soil, while concrete is more stable for muddy beds. Although this project may require some special tools and a couple of people to lend a helping hand, you’ll be able to enjoy fun on the waterfront for years to come! If you need to install posts in the water for a dock or a pier, measure and cut pilings made of pressure-treated wood. The pilings should be the length you need to support your structure, plus an extra 4-6 feet that you can bury in the ground. Have some friends help you stand the first piling in the water, then aim the tip of a high-powered hose or a water jetter at the base of the piling and turn on the pump. The force of the water should blast away the sand and mud beneath the wood, creating a hole so you can sink the piling. Keep reading to learn how to pour concrete posts!

I took a screenshot of the completed model and completed the model according to what I have learned from the tutorial. It was totally fun and a good example to show the power and simplicity of Fusion 360. I hope it will be useful to anyone interested as well. I watched this video and I fully enjoyed the lesson.

Most boats are different but they do tend to have one thing in common and that is that they have very few right angles or regular shaped compartments. There are usually very few boats that can take a ready-made refrigerator or freezer - you just have to make it yourself! We can supply a flat-pack set of ready-cut insulated panels to help you build a customised box. The panels (part number SCD00001AA), are covered on both sides with 2.5 mm plastic laminate of foodstuff quality and have 46 mm thick closed cell foam insulation in between. They are easy to cut and glue together using a polyurethane sealant or mould resistant silicone resulting in joints that are leak-proof but not totally inflexible. The kit consists of three insulation panels measuring 978 x 478 x 50 mm. Cover strips for the edges of the lid are included together with simple instructions.

Geothermal energy is the second most abundant source of heat on earth, after solar energy. It is the natural heat energy stored in the earth. This energy is contained in about 260 billion cubic metres of rocks and metallic alloys, just below the outer surface of the earth, that are at or near their melting points (Lanterman & Lee, 2007). Calculations show that the Earth, originating from a completely molten state, would have cooled and become completely solid if the only energy input was that of the Sun, so it is believed that the ultimate source of geothermal energy is the decay of naturally radioactive isotopes (Dincer et al., 2007). The thermal energy from the earth continuously flows outwards. This heat transfer from the core to the surrounding mantle is principally via conduction. When the temperature and pressure of the system becomes high enough, some of the rocks that make up the mantle melt and form magma. As the liquid magma is less dense than surrounding rocks, it slowly rises, convecting thermal heat towards the earth’s crust (Lanterman & Lee, 2007).

These machines will allow tubes to be bent with an impressive 2 times tube diameter bend radius with no rippling or cracking of the tube and the absolute minimum of distortion. We have 2 machines that all operate on the same principle, namely the pipe or tube to be bent is located between a formed mandrel and back plate with another formed internal mandrel (bullet) held at a carefully controlled position inside the tube. The tube is secured firmly to the main mandrel and when the mandrel is turned the tube is pulled over the internal mandrel as it wraps around the main mandrel. (This internal "Bullet" holds the tube open and helps reduce distortion to a minimum.)
