Photographer Max Siedentopf has a new project that examines one of the most boring types of photography: the passport photo. The series shows that even though passport photos need to be boring, the photo shoots themselves don’t.
Official passport photo requirements are extremely restrictive and specify the exact framing (centered with the subject facing straight on), lighting (a clear background with no shadow), and facial expression (no smiling). “It seems almost impossible for any kind of self-expression,” Siedentopf says. His project, titled Passport Photos, “tries to challenge these official rules by testing all the things you could be doing while you are taking your official document photo.”

New Dimension wakeboard towers are strong, lightweight, and built to withstand extreme conditions. All of our towers are specifically designed and fabricated to fit your exact make and model of boat. No universal joints or adjustments are needed.
Fabricated using 1 7/8 inch diameter, brushed and anodized 6061 aluminum tubing, creating the ultimate light weight, corrosion resistant tower. The mounting base is custom designed and machined using polished billet aluminum removing the need for a large metal plate bolted to the hull. Every element of the New Dimension wakeboard tower is designed to enhance the look and performance of your boat. Optional wakeboard rack forks are designed to exactly bolt on to the oval-shaped horizontal cross member tubing for rack solid mounting. EAC - Using EAC in Linux under Wine :: What.CD

This article is here to provide tips for getting EAC to work in linux under Wine. Wine is an application layer that allows you to run Windows-based programs under linux. EAC 1.0b3 will run under Wine, but you will need to do some tweaking. Specific instructions will be provided specifically for the gentoo distribution, but these instructions can be adapted for use in other distributions such as Ubuntu.

Future of Leap Seconds

This is a work in progress which attempts to catalog all of the openly-available information about the process which may result in the discontinuation of leap seconds in radio broadcasts of time signals. Some of these events may have explicit presentations about the ongoing process looking into redefining broadcast time signals. Other events may only reference it tangentially as a result of the presence of members of the international time and frequency community.
