Wordpress Development - Validating Sanitizing and Escaping User Data

Your code works, but is it safe? When writing code that will run across hundreds if not thousands of websites, you should be extra cautious of how you handle data coming into WordPress and how it's then presented to the end user. This commonly comes up when building a settings page for your theme, creating and manipulating shortcodes, or saving and rendering extra data associated with a post.

Comparing x264 “RF” settings in Handbrake (examples) | mattgadient.com

Saved by uncleflo on January 6th, 2019.

Here, I’m taking a look at various RF settings in Handbrake, both in terms of visuals and filesize. I started with encodes from the “24” DVD (Season 6, Episode 1). If you have the same DVD and are looking to reproduce this test, the following settings were used: I tested the following RF values (listed in Handbrake under “Constant Quality”: 0, 10, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32 I’ll start with a few screenshots at different RF values. There’s a video below too, but it comes with a bit of a caveat so might not show everything well for you. Pictures should work for nearly everyone. Note that the first one (RF0) is for reference (lossless). Worth noting that x264’s psychovisual enhancements (trellis, etc) do a pretty good job of keeping detail where you’d notice it (the face), at the expense of the stuff you normally wouldn’t notice while watching (like those background areas). Of course, this only goes so far – once the RF value is high enough, there’s no saving Jack’s facial features from the effects of compression!

How to manually install the Securly SSL certificate in Chrome

https://support.securly.com/hc/en-us/articles/206081828-How-to-manually-install-the-Securly-SSL-certificate-in-Chrome

Saved by uncleflo on May 30th, 2018.

You would want to install the Securly SSL certificate in your Chrome browser to ensure the best browsing experience. The certificate does not control the level of filtering or what sites are allowed. The certificate will prevent errors on sites that Securly decrypts. Without the certificate, sites like Google.com and Facebook.com will show privacy errors, users will perceive this as the internet being “broken”. To install the Securly SSL certificate manually in Chrome, open ‘chrome://settings’ in your Chrome browser (version 59.0.3071 and above)

Outlook.com Smart Network Data Services

Deliverability to Outlook.com is based on your reputation. The Outlook.com Smart Network Data Services (SNDS) gives you the data you need to understand and improve your reputation at Outlook.com. But just looking at the data isn't enough! Maintaining a good reputation is a lot of work. You should use this data to keep your mailing lists clean and to monitor the IPs you control for unusual behavior. Reputation is always the responsibility of the sender. SNDS gives senders access to detailed data about individual IPs, and it also includes our Junk Email Reporting Program, which lets you receive reports when users junk your messages. Now you can view IP data and manage feedback loop settings from one convenient website.

HOW TO: Logitech MX5000 via (bluetooth) - Ubuntu Forums

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=432013

Saved by uncleflo on October 2nd, 2010.

Ok I can't take the credit for this, I found out how to get my mx5000 working via bluetooth from bug reports. I thought I would share with you all.

Got all the info from here thanks to kryilian and amedee

Ok so first thing you should notice when you have a Logitech bluetooth device is at login (gdm) that more or less it does not work. However unplugging and replugging in the adapter puts the device in USB emulation mode but you can not use bluetooth to transfer files for example or use other blue tooth devices with in this mode.

So after going through bluetooth bug reports I finally got my MX5000 working in feisty.
