Eddy himself is a fanatical technical and cave diver, with a passion for (underwater) photography. To combine his hobbies in an ideal way, he began years ago with the manufacture of specialized equipment for the technical dive team he takes part in. He produced products like stainless steel springstraps, electrical dry suite heating, special HID dive lights and strobe arm systems for cameras. These products and services were also very popular outside his own team. This resulted in the creation of his own company: Scuba Support. A professional workshop at his home makes it possible to both develop and construct the products entirely. This also makes it possible to immediately repair at the workshop, in contrast to regular dealers who must submit materials for repair. With a fine electronic and mechanical training and years of experience in a company that specializes in medical and laboratory equipment it is safe to say that Eddy van Vliet has a technical background. Journeying to South Africa after graduating with a photographic degree, I trained as a safari field guide. Observing, photographing and learning about the local flora and fauna. A truly awesome experience, which fed my passion about the animal world and animal behaviour, leading me to work in the animal care industry, a very important aspect of my life. Having also a great interest in human nature and the relationship we have with the natural world. My aim is to collaborate these interests to create images that not only reflect on human experience but to ponder the world that we find ourselves in. Understanding the world around us and how we connect to ourselves, and to one another can be a deeply therapeutic experience. Through first hand encounters, the written word or imagery, it can give a sense of clarity; From one moment, being amazed with the beautifully uniform textures of a clustered feather moss, to another, feeling saddened having just discovered the lifeless body a collard dove, moved by the way the foliage appears to be cradling its body like a loving mother. Ready for it's energy to be reclaimed by the earth. It's so easy to become disconnected to the world of nature, my wish is to be able to reconnect you with it. The natural world is an intrinsic part of our lives, it's very presence is integral for our survival and our well being.

Lots Ait Boatyard is situated on an island in the river Thames between Kew Gardens and Brentford. An important part of London's commercial boating history, it was one of the last tidal boatyards to be closed in the early 1970's. Thanks partly to its island location, Lots Ait avoided re-development and has remained very much as it was left over 30 years ago with weeds and undergrowth hiding the vintage boat sheds and machinery that were formerly a hive of activity. John Watson, owner of John's Boat Works Ltd says "I have a lifelong passion for traditional boatbuilding and our great boating heritage, so having the opportunity to be involved in reopening Lots Ait boatyard is a dream come true. In opdracht verzorg ik voornamelijk beeldverslagen van allerlei evenementen, zoals congressen, klantendagen, discussiebijeenkomsten, bedrijfsuitjes, open dagen, feestavonden et cetera, maar maak ook graag portretten, foto’s bij folders, jaarverslagen of brochures en geef fotoworkshops. fotografie mijn werk, mijn passie...
