Saved by uncleflo on February 12th, 2022.

Leader in ICP Plasma Systems and Manufacturer of Advanced Material Powders Tekna offers turn-key plasma systems and also CUSTOMIZATION OF OUR SYSTEMS. Spheroidization enables the production of highly spherical powder particles, compatible with even the most demanding applications. Nanopowder synthesis enables the production of highly pure nanomaterials, from different types of precursors (solid, liquid or gasses). Deposition by induction plasma enables the production of high-density coatings through efficient melting and deposition. Tekna PlasmaSonic products are used to simulate flight at high velocity or during re-entry conditions under high temperature and heat fluxes. These equipments enable the introduction of low-fluctuation powders into the plasma systems with low or high flow rates.

Windy: Wind map & weather forecast

https://www.windy.com/

Saved by uncleflo on October 11th, 2019.

I am an addicted kiter, helicopter and jet pilot who seeks the wind, waves, METARs and powder snow almost constantly. Since programming is my passion, I coded Windyty.com in 2014 as my pet project. The original version was highly inspired by the products from the Swiss company Meteoblue and other project called "Earth", that displayed animated wind particles on the globe. I have completely rewrote open source codes of Earth and also made an agreement with Meteoblue to use some of their products that time. And thus Windyty was born (renamed to Windy a few years later). My goal is to keep Windy small and fast to be accessible in the most remote locations.

IPX Rating System: What It Means And Why You Should Know | Gear Mashers

https://gearmashers.com/ipx-rating-system-what-it-means-and-why-you-should-know/

Saved by uncleflo on September 9th, 2019.

The IPX Rating System is used to evaluate how resistant products are to environmental conditions. Many cycling and camera products often come with an IPX rating letting the consumer know how well an item will hold up under certain environmental conditions. The IP (Ingress Protection) numbers are written as IPXX, where “X”s are placeholders for numbers. The first “X” represents solid (dust/particle) resistance and the second “X” represents liquid resistance (water). When looking for cycling equipment or photography equipment, those products that have a higher IPX rating will be able to withstand the elements for longer periods of time without failure. For those who commute by bike, an IPX4 or greater will help keep your gear dry.

Sensor Fusion Algorithms For Autonomous Driving: Part 1 The Kalman filter and Extended Kalman

Tracking of stationary and moving objects is a critical function of Autonomous driving technologies. Signals from several sensors, including camera, radar and lidar (Light Detection and Ranging device based on pulsed laser) sensors are combined to estimate the position, veloctiy, trajectory and class of objects i.e. other vehicles and pedestrians. A good introduction to this topic can be found at: http://www.onenewspage.com/video/20161006/5695999/Mercedes-Benz-presents-the-Sensor-Fusion-at-2016.htm

Monte Carlo Localization

Saved by uncleflo on March 29th, 2012.

Monte Carlo Localization, also known as Particle Filtering, is a relatively new approach to the problem of robot localization - estimating a robot's location in a known environment, given its movements and sensor reading over time. In this project you are to solve the global localization problem, where the robot does not know its starting position but needs to figure out where it is. (This is in contrast to the position tracking problem, where the robot knows its starting position and just need to accommodate the small errors in its odometry that build up over time.) To make things a bit simpler, you will solve this problem in a one dimensional world. Since the on-board computation abilities of the RCX are limited, we remote control the robot from a base computer. You are given skeleton programs for the robot and base computer, which are described below.
