Seen Jeremy's williams jetrib guide and after 4 seasons of sorting out a now 20yo Avon jetrib, I decided to write down a maintenance to do (and how to) list of issues I had to address to keep a well maintained 20yo seawater jetrib in reasonable and reliable condition. Any corrections, additions, comments welcomed! First of all, a couple of links that will help identify parts or understand how the thing works! DISCLAIMER: anyone spent years on two stroke marine engines will find some of the following boring, apologies, I’m simply trying to show the whole process!

5086 aluminum pipe is a high strength magnesium alloyed aluminum alloy pipe primarily used in the marine industry because of its excellent corrosion resistance, especially to seawater. 5086 – H32 Drawn Seamless pipe is a strain hardened alloy that combines high corrosion resistance with high strength making it popular for a wide variety of marine related and corrosion resistant fabrication uses. It has excellent finishing characteristics. It is not strengthened by heat treatment, instead becoming stronger due to strain hardening, or cold mechanical working of the material. There are 2 types of 5086 Aluminium Pipe:

As the name implies, air-conditioning is defined as the treatment of air to modify the internal environment in terms of temperature, humidity and fresh air content. Air-Conditioning systems reject heat from the space to be cooled into the surrounding seawater via the refrigerant flow in the sea-water cooled condenser. Vehicle systems operate in a very similar way to commercial systems - the heat is rejected to the outside environment via an air cooled condenser. The air-conditioning process varies according to the application, from simple comfort-cooling to sophisticated total environmental control systems. Fischer Panda can provide either simple, spot cooling for problem areas or accurately control the whole on-board environment. Be it a 30' cabin cruiser or a 300'+ multi deck passenger vessel. We can design a system to suit your application. See our notes on basic System Design.
