I understand the standardisation issues of DIR (I think) but DIR doesn't prescribe which reg you MUST have does it? Are Poseidons non DIR because GI3 had a spat with Poseidon (eg they wouldn't give him kit for an expidition) or is there a technical reason why GI3 considers them to be unsafe. And if the latter, why does the rest of the divng industry not also think they are unsafe? Or is it just plain old predudice against something diffrent?

Got lucky enough to snag a truckload of treated lumber on Craigslist for FREE. Had a friend with a hookup for the barrels for FREE. Already had nails and screws. Had to buy a few bags of quikrete and a 4x4 for the ramp posts, and some hardware for connecting the ramp to the posts and the ramp to the dock. All in all I have put in about $40 (and a week's worth of evening work at a leisurely pace). Not bad for a 12x14 dock with a 3.5x10 ramp for our half-acre pond!

Seen Jeremy's williams jetrib guide and after 4 seasons of sorting out a now 20yo Avon jetrib, I decided to write down a maintenance to do (and how to) list of issues I had to address to keep a well maintained 20yo seawater jetrib in reasonable and reliable condition. Any corrections, additions, comments welcomed! First of all, a couple of links that will help identify parts or understand how the thing works! Bank Accounts, Company Formations, Tax Planning, Residency Solutions, and more. I have been googeling lot of information about offshore or low-tax solutions and I found couple of useful info, but I still can't create the ideal structure, I think I am still missing some info, so I decided to ask here for an advice. I will describe my situation. I am doing turnkey software products. It can be sold by different ways. I can always sell it to my customers as a Software License (Intellectual Property), or I can invoice and sell it as turnkey programming hours, or I can sell it as ready-made product. It depends what's better for me, my customers are tolerant to me we have very close relationships and I found that some countries have tax-friendly strategies for Intellectual Properties for example, so that's why I am mentioning this. All my activities are online and remote, I also travel a lot. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depends on mood. I have customers mostly from EU (private persons) and I am also EU citizen with EU personal tax domicile.

I have just bought a yacht back from France with a NAVICOM RT 450 DSC a couple of years old. But I cannot get the full range of radio channels, especially M1 and M2, is it me or the radio? Is the radio set on USA rather than International channels? There's usually a means of switching from one to the other.

On a typical sailing boat with shaft drive, does the prop turn at engine rpm? Or is there a reduction? And when the prop freewheels while under sail, what would be a typical rpm? Presumably for a given boat speed (whether sail or power), the prop rpm will be less under sail than the rpm under power for the same boat speed, and presumably this ratio is closely linked to the propeller efficiency. I know on aeroplanes that prop efficiency is around 85% - is this a realistic figure for water-screws?

I've been looking for informations on how to configure the cross compilation on qt (windows) for the raspberry 3. I don't know if it's the place to write it, but for people who are interested in, here is how I did the cross compilation beetwee windows 8 and raspberry pi 3 (debian jessie). Most of steps come from the tuto here : http://visualgdb.com/tutorials/raspberry/qt/embedded/ There should be different ways to make it work, maybe this is not the best one, but it works for me. Hope it's helpful, sorry if i'ts not the place.

News, articles and tools covering Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3, EC2, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudFormation, Route 53, CloudFront, Lambda, VPC, Cloudwatch, Glacier and more. Just a curiosity. At this point I've done: single staging environment for small teams, and that obviously doesn't work well beyond a couple; one off EC2 instances that just use docker to make a mini-replicated environment; cloudformation to spin up an entire, and yet smaller, version of our production; ngrok and just having our QA test directly. The area I'm interested to see how people are handling it is with respect to data. Are you replicating the full DB? Just using in memory and some seed data? Additionally, for those of you that have this (or have had one in the past), how did you guys set it up to be "pleasurable" to work with? By that I mean it not being some long winding rube goldberg machine that almost defeats the purpose of having a CI.

I'm trying to set up USB tethering between my galaxy s2 and my ubuntu laptop. I'm using the following how-to: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Android_tethering. At one point it says to run ip link in a terminal, and then: "You should be able to see a usb0 or enp?s??u? device listed like this (notice the enp0s20u3 device)." But neither of these devices show up in the output when I run ip link. The laptop recognizes my phone when I connect it via USB, so I'm wondering if there's some way to get the device to show up.

This document provides a quick guide to how to transfer your email and account settings from one Ubuntu computer to another with Evolution. It has been tested on Evolution versions 2.2 -> 2.4 (Hoary -> Breezy). The same procedure applies if you want to transfer your email from one user to another on the same computer. There is a plugin available for recent versions of evolution that will do this automatically for you, but if this is not available, this guide should do the trick.

Hope this post is useful for people out here on this forum. As a small business owner and find GS1/UCC a complete rip off by charging $750 + annual fees for upc codes! I would rather save those $$$ and use it more effectively in marketing and advertising my products. I found another alternative to buy upc codes for cheap - just google the term 'upc code' or 'ean code' and you should see a list of so many different sites trying to sell upc codes from $4.99 to $120 - some with and most without any annual or set-up/registration fees.

On this course, you will be using a lot of maths. Sometimes, you may need clarification on how to use maths for a particular problem. Luckily, you can use LaTeX on the forums to display maths in a readable format (as opposed to unwieldy formats like 4*10^6 which can be difficult to parse). There are a lot of different commands for LaTeX, but you will only need a few in this course. To start using LaTeX, you first need to type $$ - this is telling the forums software that whatever you type in between the dollar signs is LaTeX and should be displayed as LaTeX

Freeway capable EVs are more expensive than slow EVs because you need more batteries (sometimes: could use buddy pairs at lower voltage) and a high voltage controller. The same motor can often still be used, just by advancing the brushes, and maybe adding a blower to keep it cool. So, it seems to me that the best place to focus efforts to making freeway capable EVs more affordable (under $1500?), is to focus on the controller. About $1200 or so can be shaved off the cost of a new controller.
