Forum topic about creating an oxygen concentrator to fill up oxygen bottles. A user asks: Is any one here is using or has used an oxygen concentrator. I do know you cannot get 100% pure oxygen. Basically it is a PSA oxygen concentrator that also has a compressor mounted to it that pumps direct to scuba tanks. It will also provide continuous flow for blending, but a concentrator that small doesn't put out enough for a big compressor. Several manufacturers have boosters designed for this application though. Invacare homefill, Rix microboost *yes this was actually designed around PSA oxygen concentrators*, Philips Ultrafill *only one that will go to 3000psi*, and a few others. I use one and fill 2200 psi O2 bottles to do PP blending nitrox. It's a invocare homefill set up. Makes perhaps 200+ cuft a day of 96% O2. 2 days to fill a standard 5' tall O2 bottle used for standard acetalyne rigs. These systems can be hard to get because they need a perscription to get one. but some will sell for hobby use. (glass works etc.) I think you can still get the concentrator and compuressor for about 1000 $ and then there is an adaptor hose that is needed to connect to fill tanks that may be 100 $ unless you hae one of hte designed carry around tanks to get the part from. There are other solutions of course. Keep the unit indoors or somewhere where it is dry and low humidity and the concentrator will last a long time. On the left is my excellent Preval vFan airbrush that Home Depot gave me to evaluate. You can see the hose has a standard 1/4″ male QD connector installed. On the right is a pressure regulator, with a standard female QD connector on the outlet side, and a scuba-to-NPT adapter on the inlet side. Plug that into an inflator hose on a scuba regulator, and set your output pressure on the inline regulator. A scuba regulator outputs about 140 psi, roughly the same as a compressor, while the airbrush wants 20-40 psi. The flow rate is more than adequate to drive the airbrush, and breathing air is already super-clean, so no filter necessary. A typical scuba tank holds 80-100 cuft at around 3000 psi, and costs well under $10 to refill at the dive shop. The vFan spec is 5 cfm at 20 psi, which works out to over 15 minutes of continual spraying, or several hours under real conditions. This could even drive a bigger spray gun for a useful amount of time, but I don’t think I will ever use it for anything but the airbrush, since Home Depot also gave me a nice compressor. It’s like Christmas every month.

As the name implies, air-conditioning is defined as the treatment of air to modify the internal environment in terms of temperature, humidity and fresh air content. Air-Conditioning systems reject heat from the space to be cooled into the surrounding seawater via the refrigerant flow in the sea-water cooled condenser. Vehicle systems operate in a very similar way to commercial systems - the heat is rejected to the outside environment via an air cooled condenser. The air-conditioning process varies according to the application, from simple comfort-cooling to sophisticated total environmental control systems. Most boats are different but they do tend to have one thing in common and that is that they have very few right angles or regular shaped compartments. There are usually very few boats that can take a ready-made refrigerator or freezer - you just have to make it yourself! We can supply a flat-pack set of ready-cut insulated panels to help you build a customised box. The panels (part number SCD00001AA), are covered on both sides with 2.5 mm plastic laminate of foodstuff quality and have 46 mm thick closed cell foam insulation in between. They are easy to cut and glue together using a polyurethane sealant or mould resistant silicone resulting in joints that are leak-proof but not totally inflexible. The kit consists of three insulation panels measuring 978 x 478 x 50 mm. Cover strips for the edges of the lid are included together with simple instructions.

Heat is stored by the thermal mass of the ground of water thermal. There are two types of heat sources: In the UK just a few metres below our feet the ground keeps a constant temperature of about 11-12°C throughout the year. The Earth’s internal heat was originally produced during accretion. Since then heat has been produced by the radioactive decay of elements such as uranium, thorium and potassium. Due to its high enthalpy, this type of heat is often harvested in volcanic areas for electricity production and large district heating. The majority of heat stored right in the Earth’s surface comes from the sun. This heat is widely available, and because of its low enthalpy, it is often harvested for local heat pump applications.

Cooling and air-conditioning installations utilize the change of cooling agent parameters (pressure, temperature and state) when it circulates between the evaporator and the condenser in the cooling system. The cooling agent circulates driven by the refrigerating compressor. The refrigerant absorbs heat by evaporation in the evaporator, then it gives up heat when vapour is condensed in the condenser. There are many types of refrigerants (water, carbon dioxide, ammonia), however there is one special type of low-boiling hydrocarbons, called freons. Flexible freon hoses are widely used in air-conditioning systems of various vehicles (cars, machinery, trains, trams) as well as in smaller installations of industrial cooling. In these installations, freon (e.g. R134a, R1234yf) mixed with compressor oil (e.g. PAG synthetic oil) acts as a refrigerant. It circulates in the system where it undergoes continuous pressure and temperature fluctuations. Therefore, requirements concerning freon hoses are so high. It is essential for the system to be perfectly tight as freon is very penetrating, expensive and harmful to the environment. It must be highly resistant to pressure, temperature, chemicals and stop humidity from permeating the hose wall. It concerns automotive air-conditioning in particular because there, the freon hose operates in the engine compartment, tightly packed and bent, in high ambient temperature conditions, exposed to vibrations and in contact with car fluids.

The YUI Compressor is a JavaScript compressor which, in addition to removing comments and white-spaces, obfuscates local variables using the smallest possible variable name. This obfuscation is safe, even when using constructs such as 'eval' or 'with' (although the compression is not optimal in those cases) Compared to jsmin, the average savings is around 20%. The YUI Compressor is also able to safely compress CSS files. The decision on which compressor is being used is made on the file extension (js or css)

JSMin is a filter which removes comments and unnecessary whitespace from JavaScript files. It typically reduces filesize by half, resulting in faster downloads. It also encourages a more expressive programming style because it eliminates the download cost of clean, literate self-documentation. What JSMin Does: JSMin is a filter that omits or modifies some characters. This does not change the behavior of the program that it is minifying. The result may be harder to debug. It will definitely be harder to read. JSMin first replaces carriage returns ('\r') with linefeeds ('\n'). It replaces all other control characters (including tab) with spaces. It replaces comments in the // form with linefeeds. It replaces comments in the /* */ form with spaces. All runs of spaces are replaced with a single space.
