Stainless Steel Perforated Sheet 316/316L is a sheet of 316/316L Stainless Steel Alloy that has been punched with a pattern. 316 Stainless Steel Alloy is a standard molybdenum-bearing grade, the second most commonly sought after grade next to grade 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance in chloride environments. Grade 316L (L= low carbon) ) is the same as 316 except it has an extra-low-carbon analysis, the advantage of which is that it precludes any harmful precipitation in the 800º F to 1500º F range that might result from welding heavier sections. Therefore 316L is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components.

Converting cave survey notes into a finished map With a set of cave survey sketch notes in hand, the next steps for converting those notes into a beautiful and accurate map can be daunting. Some cave cartographers spend more time in front of a computer screen than they do underground. Historically survey data was compiled with a calculator, and maps were drafted on mylar sheets with pencil and rapidiograph. Virtually everyone today is using cave survey data management and digital drafting software for the improved efficiency, quality, and ability to make changes and updates. In most cases the data management and drafting are handled by different applications. I recommend developing an efficient workflow for handling new survey data.

Rope makers seem to delight in confusing us with science and/or extraordinary polysyllabic names. Let me try to cut through the guff a little. Also known as Terylene or Dacron, polyester is the stuff from which most “ordinary” rope and line is made of. It is resistant to rot and ultra-violet (UV), sinks in water and comes in a variety of constructions: 3-strand pre-stretched - can be spliced in the normal fashion, though it is a good idea to use 4 or 5 tucks instead of the 3 used in natural fibre ropes. The “pre-stretch” refers to an extra tweak imparted during the making of the rope which makes it more suitable for halyards and bell ropes. Very important, that - could you imagine the cacophony which would result from using stretchy rope? The snag with this construction is that it can kink, so it’s unusual to use it as a sheet.

5086 aluminum pipe is a high strength magnesium alloyed aluminum alloy pipe primarily used in the marine industry because of its excellent corrosion resistance, especially to seawater. 5086 – H32 Drawn Seamless pipe is a strain hardened alloy that combines high corrosion resistance with high strength making it popular for a wide variety of marine related and corrosion resistant fabrication uses. It has excellent finishing characteristics. It is not strengthened by heat treatment, instead becoming stronger due to strain hardening, or cold mechanical working of the material. When a metal is exposed to underwater or wet environments, marine grade metals may be necessary to prevent the material from failing under the conditions. To be considered a marine grade, the material must be able to resist corrosive effects that are common in a water environment. To achieve this, special alloying elements are added to these grades in order to defend against corrosion. Marine grades can be found in most of the metal types, which include aluminium, stainless steel, brass, bronze, copper and carbon steel. Most carbon steel is not well-suited for marine environments, however, there are several marine grade carbon steels available. AH36, DH36, and EH36 are all examples of commonly used marine grade carbon steels approved by the American Bureau of Shipping. These grades will have slightly more alloying elements such as manganese and chromium compared to their ASTM grade counterparts, which helps achieve higher strength and more corrosion resistance. There are also marine grades of engineering steel as well. Grades MD, ME, MF, MG, and others can provide the strength that normal alloy steel is known for, and have also been approved by the American Bureau of Shipping for use in shipbuilding applications.

The 1st Choice for Aluminium, Stainless & Brass online. Magnesium is the main element used in the composition of the 5000 series grades of aluminium. The 5000 series grades of aluminium are non heat-treatable alloys. The 5000 series grades also have excellent resistance to corrosion caused by saltwater, for this reason they are often referred to as the Marine Grades of aluminium. Grade 5083 has the highest strength of all of the non heat treatable alloys, although it is not as strong or as hard as the more common grade 6082. Grade 5083 is primarily available in plate form, and is most commonly available in O condition. Grade 5754 is a medium strength alloy. For comparison it is not a strong as grades 6082 or 5083, but 5754 is stronger than grade 5251. Grade 5754 is most commonly used to produce aluminium 5 bar treadplate (often referred to as aluminium chequer plate). Grade 5251 is a medium strength alloy, usually supplied in sheet form, and is most commonly supplied in temper H22. Previously known as NS4, grade 5251 has many similar attributes to grade 1050 aluminium sheet and is probably the 2nd most popular grade of aluminium sheet used in the UK today.

5052 aluminium a higher strength non-heat treatable alloy. When annealed it is stronger than 1100 & 3003. The alloy benefits from a medium to high fatigue strength making it an excellent choice for use in structures which are exposed to excessive vibrations. 5052 also offers very good resistance to corrosion, especially in marine atmospheres. With good weldability and formability characteristics, the alloy can be used in a wide range of applications.

The CPCe (Coral Point Count with Excel extensions) program is a Windows-based software (PC use only) that provides a tool for the determination of coral cover using transect photographs. A specified number of spatially random points are distributed on a transect image and the features underlying the points are user-identified. Coverage statistics are then calculated and the results sent to Excel spreadsheets automatically.

This article provides a simple positive model for preventing XSS using output escaping/encoding properly. While there are a huge number of XSS attack vectors, following a few simple rules can completely defend against this serious attack. This article does not explore the technical or business impact of XSS. Suffice it to say that it can lead to an attacker gaining the ability to do anything a victim can do through their browser. Both reflected and stored XSS can be addressed by performing the appropriate validation and escaping on the server-side. DOM Based XSS can be addressed with a special subset of rules described in the DOM based XSS Prevention Cheat Sheet. An electrostatic loudspeaker (ESL) is a loudspeaker design in which sound is generated by the force exerted on a membrane suspended in an electrostatic field. The speakers use a thin flat diaphragm usually consisting of a plastic sheet coated with a conductive material such as graphite sandwiched between two electrically conductive grids, with a small air gap between the diaphragm and grids.
