Change from October could lead to higher prices for those paying with UK-issued cards Mastercard is to increase the fees EU firms face to take payments from online shoppers from the UK by at least 400%, in a move that could mean higher prices for consumers. When a credit or debit card is used, a percentage of the purchase price is paid by the retailer to the bank that issued it as an interchange fee, which is set by a payments firm. Mastercard’s interchange fee is currently 0.3% on credit card payments and 0.2% on debit card payments but it has told EU firms that these will increase to 1.5% and 1.15% respectively from 15 October. The Financial Times, which first reported the change, said the rise would benefit banks and card providers, rather than Mastercard.

On this website you can find our available properties, with a description and if possible some images. Sometimes we offer only limited details, to decrease the risk of vandalism, theft or squatting of the empty property. After selecting a specific property, a registration form needs to be filled in. This data ends up in our Property Management System, where we have an overview of all the buildings we manage, the people who currently live there and the people who have applied for an open space.

Armchair scuba divers across the world and marine conservationists will soon be able to immerse themselves in the most spectacular survey of the Great Barrier Reef ever undertaken, thanks to a new research project unveiled by conservationists and backed by Google on Thursday. Tens of thousands of 360-degree, high-definition panoramas of underwater forests, grasslands and crags will be taken by robot cameras, mapped and made available on the internet as a result of the collaboration, which will seek help from a global audience to assess the health and composition of the 2,300km-long reef.
