Have you ever wondered why you’re getting calls from random 1-800 telemarketers that you’ve never heard of? Or better yet, a text pops up asking you to click on a sketchy weblink? Obviously, you never asked for these companies to contact you. So, how does this happen? The reality is, every time you include your real phone number on a form, whether it’s at a local fair to win a trip to Hawaii, or on a social media profile, the companies receiving your information may well be farming out this information to other companies that, in turn, want to market products to you. Even if you’ve asked this first company NOT to share your info with other companies, someone who’s uninterested in your consent could still have gathered up your number through sketchy means. Connect and share knowledge within a single location that is structured and easy to search. Being the good citizen I am, I left-click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in my taskbar, and select my USB drive to dismount. Then I get the message: Windows can't stop your Generic volume device because it is in use. Close any programs or windows that might be using the device, and then try again later. Of course, being the Operating System, it knows exactly what applications are using my device. So why won't it tell me? Or is there a way that I can find out?

For those who need a tighter bend radius we have designed the Useful-Tools hand operated mandrel tube bender. These machines will allow tubes to be bent with an impressive 2 times tube diameter bend radius with no rippling or cracking of the tube and the absolute minimum of distortion. We have 2 machines that all operate on the same principle, namely the pipe or tube to be bent is located between a formed mandrel and back plate with another formed internal mandrel (bullet) held at a carefully controlled position inside the tube. The tube is secured firmly to the main mandrel and when the mandrel is turned the tube is pulled over the internal mandrel as it wraps around the main mandrel. (This internal "Bullet" holds the tube open and helps reduce distortion to a minimum.)

I’ve been dismayed to discover just how many software developers aren’t really completely up to speed on the mysterious world of character sets, encodings, Unicode, all that stuff. A couple of years ago, a beta tester for FogBUGZ was wondering whether it could handle incoming email in Japanese. Japanese? They have email in Japanese? I had no idea. When I looked closely at the commercial ActiveX control we were using to parse MIME email messages, we discovered it was doing exactly the wrong thing with character sets, so we actually had to write heroic code to undo the wrong conversion it had done and redo it correctly. When I looked into another commercial library, it, too, had a completely broken character code implementation. I corresponded with the developer of that package and he sort of thought they “couldn’t do anything about it.” Like many programmers, he just wished it would all blow over somehow.

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) is an email-validation system designed to detect and prevent email spoofing, the use of forged sender addresses often used in phishing and email spam. It is built on top of two existing mechanisms, Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM). It allows the administrative owner of a domain to publish a policy in their DNS records to specify which mechanism (DKIM, SPF or both) is employed when sending email from that domain; how to check the From: field presented to end users; how the receiver should deal with failures - and a reporting mechanism for actions performed under those policies. A DMARC policy allows a sender's domain to indicate that their emails are protected by SPF and/or DKIM, and tells a receiver what to do if neither of those authentication methods passes – such to reject the message or quarantine it. The policy can also specify how an email receiver can report back to the sender's domain about messages that pass and/or fail.[2]

The SWIFT network supports the following message standards: SWIFT Message types are the format or schema used to send messages to financial institutions on the SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) network. The original message types were developed by SWIFT and retrospectively made into an ISO standard, ISO 15022. This was later supplemented by a XML based version under ISO 20022.

I got an SMPP account from my ISP with the following details. I tested the access via telnet 10.xx.xx.xx 2777 and I got the access. Now I wanted to send sms via php with the following two files where I am struggling in knowing where to put the variables plus I don't see how they are linked in terms of variables.

This is a simplified SMPP client lib for sending or receiving smses through SMPP v3.4. In addition to the client, this lib also contains an encoder for converting UTF-8 text to the GSM 03.38 encoding, and a socket wrapper. The socket wrapper provides connection pool, IPv6 and timeout monitoring features on top of PHP's socket extension. This lib has changed significantly from it's first release, which required namespaces and included some worker components. You'll find that release at 1.0.1-namespaced. This lib requires the sockets PHP-extension, and is not supported on Windows. A windows-compatible version is also available.
