Tango brings a lot of meaning and depth to our lives. It is almost spiritual in its essence, and allow us to connect to our inner-self and to interact on a soul-to-soul level with others. It teaches us a lot about our strengths & vulnerability, helps us become more self-aware & also more sensitive to others.You will built an exciting repertoire composed of hundreds of movements allowing you to dance freely and powerfully, while establishing a strong and meaningful connection with your dance partners. The Tango consists of a variety of styles that developed in different regions and eras of Argentina as well as in other locations around the world. The dance developed in response to many cultural elements, such as the crowding of the venue and even the fashions in clothing. The styles are mostly danced in either open embrace, where lead and follow have space between their bodies, or close embrace, where the lead and follow connect either chest-to-chest (Argentine tango) or in the upper thigh, hip area (American and International tango).

With some theatres already reporting that Midnight Tango is their fastest selling show of 2011, the producers of Midnight Tango have responded by adding further performances at certain venues on the nationwide tour, which begins in Southampton at the Mayflower Theatre on 6 April. Vincent and Flavia have dazzled television audiences for six series of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing with their stunning tango routines. Now, in their new live show, they will bring to life all the drama, sensuality and elegance of this most exciting of dance forms.
Midnight Tango is set in a late-night bar in downtown Buenos Aires. Vincent and Flavia will be joined by ten of the finest tango dancers in the world, and, between them, they will take the audience on a journey into the heart of this intoxicating city, as danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion combine into a spectacular and explosive evening.

We are a group of slightly unhinged tango addicts who have an insatiable appetite for dancing in new places with new people and have a bit too much time on our hands. Not enough free time, however, to constantly check the dozen or so websites run by the various tango groups so we got our heads together and decided (in true tango form) that we should have our own ‘sounding board’ where we can inform the tango community of absolutely everything in a one-stop-shop type of thingy. We value your comments more than you know (cos it makes our job that bit easier, come on you know it’s true) so feel free to express ideas, opinions on various events you have been to…..you never know WHO could be reading! Corina Piatti, vocalist, songwriter and guitarist, was born in a village called Arteaga, in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. As a teenager she studied drama and guitar and played her debut gig as a solo musician aged 18, at The House of Culture of Cuiaba, capital of Mato Grosso, Brazil. After traveling around Brazil and the North of Argentina, Corina went to Buenos Aires and studied Music Theory at The Sebastian Piana Institute and Singing Technique at Juan Manuel de Falla Conservatory. Some of the musicians she played with at that time were Daniel Paludi (guitar) Juan Pablo Medina (harmonic/guitar), Pablo Covacevich (guitar) Augusto Di Tella (guitar), Juanjo Hermida (piano) and Arturo Bassnueva (bass), among others. In 2003 Corina Piatti released her first solo album, "Un Fresco Amanecer" (A Fresh Sunrise), presenting original songs for voice and guitar - featuring Nizha Bustos on violin.
