ITIL, formerly[1] an acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library, is a set of detailed practices for IT service management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business. ITIL describes processes, procedures, tasks, and checklists which are not organization-specific nor technology-specific, but can be applied by an organization toward strategy, delivering value, and maintaining a minimum level of competency. It allows the organization to establish a baseline from which it can plan, implement, and measure. It is used to demonstrate compliance and to measure improvement. There is no formal independent third party compliance assessment available for ITIL compliance in an organization. Certification in ITIL is only available to individuals. Since 2013, ITIL has been owned by AXELOS, a joint venture between Capita and the UK Cabinet Office.[2] AXELOS licenses organizations to use the ITIL intellectual property, accredits licensed examination institutes, and manages updates to the framework. Organizations that wish to implement ITIL internally do not require this license.

The Club was founded in 1972 on Queen Mary Reservoir which was originally built between 1919 and 1924. We are very proud of our rich heritage as a top racing venue, the home of the iconic Bloody Mary as well as a friendly members Club with a firm place in the local community. The plans for building the reservoir were originally concieved in 1912 when it was first thought that two would be built. These were subsequently altered with the bund (or baffle) put in place to promote water circulation from inlet to outlet. This measure was considered to be important to promote the purity of the water prior to the introduction of chlorination in 1916. The reservoir was completed on Dec 31st 1924 and opened by King George V on June 12th 1925. It has a surface area of 707 acres and has a capacity of 6,700 million gallons. When we talk about bias, we often tie it to acts of discrimination or prejudice. But according to cognitive science, everybody, by virtue of having a brain that’s constantly seeking efficiency, is biased in some way — and not all biases make us actively malicious. The key is how we manage our biases. While biases can affect any of an organization’s talent decisions, they can be especially harmful when it comes to diversity and inclusion efforts. And there is perhaps no setting that shapes careers, salaries, and lives like annual performance evaluations. In a recent performance management summit we ran with over 100 large organizations, 57% of them said they weren’t taking any actions to address bias in performance reviews. One reason why may be a lack of shared language: In order to address biases, you first have to be able to label them. Research has found that several biases come up again and again when managers are evaluating a team member.

The OSGi Alliance, formerly known as the Open Services Gateway initiative, is an open standards organization founded in March 1999 that originally specified and continues to maintain the OSGi standard. The OSGi specification describes a modular system and a service platform for the Java programming language that implements a complete and dynamic component model, something that does not exist in standalone Java/VM environments. Applications or components, coming in the form of bundles for deployment, can be remotely installed, started, stopped, updated, and uninstalled without requiring a reboot; management of Java packages/classes is specified in great detail. Application life cycle management is implemented via APIs that allow for remote downloading of management policies. The service registry allows bundles to detect the addition of new services, or the removal of services, and adapt accordingly.

Another concept is that of Chinese Walls, a security model that is also referred to as [the Brewer and Nash Model][8]. From their paper, the model can be described within a database organization as three intermittent levels. At the lowest level, we consider individual items of information, each concerning a single corporation. In keeping with BLP, we will refer to the files in which such information is stored as objects. At the intermediate level, we group all objects which concern the same corporation together into what we will call a company dataset. At the highest level, we group together all company datasets whose corporations are in competition. We will refer to each such group as a conflict of interest class.
