As the name suggests, WallpaperWebPage is an application that sets any web page as the wallpaper of your desktop. It can be seamlessly figured out, even by users with little or no experience in software programs. At startup WallpaperWebPage creates an icon in the system tray area from where you can open the context menu to type in the URL to be loaded. Changes are immediately applies to the desktop, as your old wallpaper is replaced with the new web page. However, all your desktop icons disappear. Unfortunately, WallpaperWebPage does not give you the possibility of accessing these shortcuts from the right-click menu. On the other hand, it is possible to navigate the links of the web page in question. Last but not least, the program is capable of automatically running at system startup. In order to disable the application's status, you simply need to exit it. WallpaperWebPage barely uses CPU and system memory, so it doesn't interfere with the runtime of other active processes. An essential part of my work is the occupation with spatial situations within physical space and digital media. I concern myself with terms of interdisciplinary art and experimental space. My knowledge is based on research of perception and narration in space. I work on projects both individually and in groups. Either architecture itself is the focus or the interaction with people is central. Subjects of public space, migration, temporary use and fictional space are negotiated. A humorous view and a technical approach about the interplay of humans, their perception and architecture results in different forms of expression: installation, photography, documentary time-lapse, 3D-print and modular construction. I am a member of the ‘Oberösterreichischer Kunstverein’, chairman of ‘Offene Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst’ and part of the collective ‘Salon Franziska’.

ABB Robotics - Milling Sculpture in Natural Stone

In the last few years Robot integrator T&D in collaboration with a leading supplier of natural stone, Marmi e Graniti d'Italia (MGI), has applied its technology and innovation for applications in the stone industry. One of the latest frontiers in the field is definitely the interaction between ABB robots and natural stone. Using the creation of a replica of artist Amedeo Modigliani's infamous "HEAD" sculpture in white granite, T&D explored the application of a robotic milling system to evaluate whether industrial robots are capable of the demands and challenges that processing stone requires. The results of the experiment surpassed all expectations offering a quality of cut comparable to CNC machinery. The possibility of perfecting the approach, integrating milling and polishing, is currently being explored in collaboration with ABB integrator T&D Robotics.
