Like any other type of welding, it is critical to understand TIG welding settings and requirements to create a sustainable and quality weld. Also, similar to other welding styles, TIG welding relies on essential variables to determine what settings are appropriate for each application. If you are preparing to tackle a TIG welding task, having a few helpful charts tucked away in your back pocket can make the job easier, and you can finish quickly without running into any problems or messy endings. Look at the TIG welding amperage charts below for information to help you with any weld, no matter the material, size, or anticipated outcome. The amperage required when TIG welding is highly affected by the type of metal you are working with and how thick that metal is. The three main types of metals typically worked on with a TIG welder include Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. Each material requires a different amperage based on thickness.

Webpage with technical analysis of te various metal alloys. It contains description of chemical contents, physical properties, and other information. Stainless steel grade 301 is usually supplied in the form of strips and wires, with a tensile strength of up to 1800 Mpa, to produce tempers ranging from 1/16 Hard to Full Hard. By subjecting grade 301 to controlled analysis it is capable of retaining sufficient ductility even in ½ hard conditions. This form of grade 301 may be used in aircraft, rail car components and architectural structures. Tempers of this grade, ranging from ¾ to full hard, may be used in applications requiring high wear resistance and spring features with simple form designs. Grade 301L, which is the low carbon form of grade 301, is the ideal choice for applications that require good ductility. Grade 301LN is another variant. This contains a higher percentage of nitrogen and exhibits a higher work harden rate compared to standard 301. Only grade 301 is specified in ASTM A666. 301L and 301LN are represented by other conventions. Grade 301L is represented by JIS G4305 and 301LN by EN10088-2 as grade 1.4318.

The fully sealed design with true laser protection glass added to make the machine safer and more reliable. The two work tables move independently and do not interfere with each other. The design of this independent moving work tables makes it easier to clean the slag. Double motors exchange table. Full plate-welding bed with the weight of 18 tons, solid and strong. The G4020H laser cutter is most often installed in high power models, so that the installation of a stable, rigid bed is necessary. In this particular model, Made of carbon structural steel plate welding, dislocation nest box construction to avoid welding stress deformation, 600℃ high temperature release annealing stress with 20 years of normal use without distortion.

Aluminum alloys are lightweight and corrosion-resistant in marine environments, making the superior material for use in the shipbuilding industry. There are two aspects that make general aluminum welding different from welding steel in the shipbuilding industry, and both are related to the fact that much of the welding is performed outdoors: Both aspects will be discussed in more detail on the next few pages. Know Which Aluminum Alloy You Are WeldingIt isn’t enough to know that you are welding aluminum. Welding professionals have to know which alloy is about to be welded, and they have to know the correct filler metal to use. The most common alloys used in shipbuilding are the Al-Mg 5XXX sheet alloys and the Al-Mg-Si 6XXX extrusion alloys, primarily because of their excellent resistance to corrosion.
