Hello! I remember how as a child, my grandfather had a Ural with a cradle, the motorcycle seemed so huge and powerful, it rumbled throughout the village. Grandfather watched him and prepared for summer every winter. We went to the river, he fished, and I sat in the Urals and taxied, thinking that when I grow up I will definitely buy myself one. :)
This is Ural M63, 1969 year, it stood motionless for many years. The video "Restoring an old motorcycle" contains: Simple tool for loosening rusty joints; Flushing the gas tank; Bluing; Galvanized; Copper plating; Removing rust by electrolysis; And other. Thank you for your attention, enjoy your viewing!

The treatment of torsion in most Mechanics of Materials textbooks is uneven. While circular cross sections are analyzed in detail (sometimes too thoroughly), the coverage of non-circular sections is typically relegated to “advanced material” covering 4-5 pages. (In this respect Beer-Johnston- DeWolf is somewhat better than Vable, who totally omits Open Thin Wall sections)

The primary objectives of this lab are to introduce the concept of stress and strain concentration factors in notched structural configurations. The notion of stress concentration is experimentally explored qualitatively, using photoelasticity, and quantitatively, using experimental, analytical, and numerical methods. 2.002 Mechanics and Materials II, Spring 2004

The Aerospace and Ocean Engineering Department offers a Master of Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering. This degree requires the completion of a project and report which in some cases is required to be in conjunction with other students. For the Aerospace Engineering Degree, students are required to take at least one course in each general area of aerodynamics, structures, and flight mechanics and control. This requirement is to insure that graduates from this program can operate in a multidisciplinary environment. In all cases the Master of Engineering program focuses on engineering type problems and their solutions.

A "passive walker" is a simple mechanical oscillator than can be made to walk down a slight incline using only gravity for power. This passive walker is a test design for a future "passive-dynamic" robotic walker, one that will use small motors to replace the generating force of gravity, allowing it to travel continuously on a flat surface.

Passive Walker
The last several years have seen a growing interest in passive walkers. For robotics, a passive walker serves as a basis on which to build an efficient robotic biped walker. It is estimated that a "passive-dynamic" robotic walker could use as little as 10% of the power required for more traditional humanoid bipeds like the Honda Asimo.
