Plotting world circumnavigation routes is a lot easier than it sounds. There are cruising boats LITERALLY all over the world. There are boats in the Northwest passage (up and over Canada), in the Antarctic, and everywhere in between. There are a few key things to take into consideration, but 95%* of circumnavigation routes follow the same general course. There are two major restrictions put on us by our vessel insurance; stay out of highly pirated areas and stay out of named storm zones. Insurance restrictions come with the option to ignore them. You can always go to these restricted places, BUT if something happens, your insurance will not be covered. Another option is that you can pay significantly more to be covered in these places as well. We have made the choice for ourselves to follow the restrictions set by our insurance. By definition, piracy is the act of attacking and robbing ships at sea. By that main definition, the Caribbean is one of the worst places for piracy. Petty theft of boats and their tenders is a major issue in some parts of the Caribbean, and steps should be taken to protect yourself and your assets.

You must pay Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) if you buy a property or land over a certain price in England and Northern Ireland. The tax is different for different properties or land. The current SDLT threshold is £125,000 for residential properties and £150,000 for non-residential land and properties. There are different rules if you’re buying your first home. You can get a discount (relief). You can use HM Revenue and Customs’ (HMRC) Stamp Duty Land Tax calculator to work out how much tax you’ll pay. You may be able to reduce the amount of tax you pay by claiming relief, such as if you’re a first-time buyer or purchasing more than one property (‘multiple dwellings’).

From Algebra I to the SAT Math and beyond, the ability to solve simultaneous first-order (i.e. no exponents) equations can be a lifesaver. While solving for two variables (x,y) is doable, solving for three variables (x,y,z) can be very time consuming. Plus, more variables means a greater risk of careless mistakes. Luckily, the TI-89 calculator can make quick work of three-variable simultaneous equations, and this article will take you through the process step-by-step.

Calculate the Jacobian from a website, very powerful. Many of users do not use powerful Maxima computer algebra system for systematic work, but for ad hoc algebraic calculations – equations, functions, matrixes, etc. only. To do this job, it is not useful to download the whole application from a web site.

This calculator is intended to provide a faster more convenient alternative to printed tables and charts (e.g. NACA Report 1135). The core of the code was written in Javascript by William Devenport at the Aerospace and Ocean Engineering Department, Virginia Tech. Five sets of relations are included; The relations themselves are taken from standard aerodynamics texts. Symbols have their usual meanings. 'Gamma' and 'rho' are substituted for the corresponding greek letters denoting the ratio of specific heats and density. Subscript 'o' is used to refer to stagnation or total conditions, superscript '*' refers to sonic conditions.

If you don´t sleep well at night, or you cannot concentrate on other things, because you are frightened of missing a spike at Mt.Gox, you´ll maybe find this little tool useful?! It is nothing more than a simple alert-system which alerts you whenever the buy, last or sell is reaching a defined level. I was inspired for this little tool by reading this thread at bitcoin-forums. For me it was some times very useful and I like to share it with you.

Litecoin is a peer-to-peer Internet currency that enables instant payments to anyone in the world. Litecoin can be mined with consumer-grade hardware. Hashrate - This is a measure of how quickly your hardware can do the work of Litecoin mining. You can find out the expected hashrate of your hardware at the mining comparison page. Hashrates in this calculator are expressed in kilohashes per second (Kh/s) each of which equals 1000 hashes per second. Megahashes (1,000,000) and gigahashes (1,000,000,000) are commonly used to describe larger Litecoin mining rigs and the total network hashrate.

Extrapolating bitcoin difficulty or price is pure voodoo. It is much easier to predict the relationship of the two parameters in form of the Mining Factor. The Mining Factor 100 is the value in USD of the bitcoins you can generate if you let a 100MHash/s miner run for 24 hours. If the Mining Factor 100 rises above $2 or so everybody buys mining equipment and thus increases difficulty. If it falls people will stop mining eventually. The estimate starts with the current Mining Factor and decreases it exponentially such that the decrease accounts for the factor decline per year. Please note that a profit/loss by holding the coins is not accounted for in this estimate.
