Cave certification is a process, with progressive steps to gradually increase your skills. Our end goal is that you are confident to independently cave dive without a guide. Accomplishing this requires much more work than simply training someone to follow a guide, and you will notice that our courses are longer and more rigorous than most. While the initial investment to reach this level is high, cave diving with a buddy is inexpensive once you are certified – and we have an alumni network to help you find buddies! We also offer unique opportunites for our former students at low or no cost, such as science and mapping projects.

Self-build home: project plan - Designing Buildings Wiki

https://www.designingbuildings.co.uk/wiki/Self-build_home:_project_plan

Saved by uncleflo on December 18th, 2019.

This is a free-to-use, open-access plan for the organisation, design and construction of self-build homes. If you have ideas for things to add to the plan, you can either edit the plan and add them yourself, or submit a comment and we will add them for you. There are a number of delivery routes for self-build homes: It may not be clear which route should be followed until initial assessments have been carried out, a plot located and a brief prepared. See: Develop a delivery strategy for more information. It is also possible to work with other organisations such as social landlords, developers, or community groups to develop a self-build home, however, these projects are likely to follow a plan imposed by the lead organisation and so they are not covered here, although many of the project stages will be similar. Working with a developer is sometimes called ‘custom build’ rather than ‘self build’.

This compact (0.45″×0.6″) U1V11F3 switching step-up (or boost) voltage regulator efficiently generates 3.3 V from input voltages as low as 0.5 V. Unlike most boost regulators, the U1V11F3 offers a true shutdown option that turns off power to the load, and it automatically switches to a linear down-regulation mode when the input voltage exceeds the output. The pins have a 0.1″ spacing, making this board compatible with standard solderless breadboards and perfboards.

Offer accepted, now what? - Buyer Advice - Rightmove

Saved by uncleflo on April 18th, 2019.

Once the seller has accepted your offer, ask them to take it off the market. They don’t have to agree to this, but doing so will shut out other potential buyers. Now you need to move fast – the seller will want to see progress so try to avoid any unnecessary delays in getting the surveys and other legal work done. Complete the lender’s application form and send them the documents they require – this will include proof of your ID, evidence of your earnings, proof of your address over the last few months and your bank statements, so have these ready. The lender will then arrange for a valuation to be carried out on the property. This allows them to work out how fair the amount you’ve asked to borrow is compared to what they deem the property to be worth.

Congratulations – the searching, house viewings and big decisions have paid off and your offer on the house of your dreams has been accepted. Although it may seem like all the hard work is over, you are still at the early stages of the property purchase and able to pull out of buying the house without facing a financial penalty should you change your mind.
Additionally, the seller of the property can still decide to take a higher offer from somebody else, or choose to not move at all.
Before the property is legally yours there are still several steps to go through in your property transaction.

Sailing Uma - Our Boat

https://www.sailinguma.com/our-boat

Saved by uncleflo on February 23rd, 2019.

They say a journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step. For us, rather than a step, our journey began with a leap. We sold everything we didn’t need, cars, computers, motorcycles, furniture — everything. What we couldn’t sell, we donated and we used the money to buy a sailboat. Our boat “Uma” is a 1972 Pearson 36. She is neither fancy and expensive, nor cheap and flimsy—to us, she is perfect. We wanted a name that carried with it the motivation and rational that led us to buy her in the first place. Her name was inspired by the Portuguese number 1 (uma), meaning first or primary. She is our first step

Keep reading to find out how. With that said let’s install the Services for NFS feature and mount an NFS share. The first thing we need to do is install the NFS Client which can be done by following the steps below: With the default options you will only have read permissions when mounting a UNIX share using the anonymous user. We can give the anonymous user write permissions by changing the UID and GID that it uses to mount the share.

The L298 is an integrated monolithic circuit in a 15-lead Multiwatt and PowerSO20 packages. It is a high voltage, high current dual full-bridge driver designed to accept standard TTL logic levels and drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motors. Two enable inputs are provided to enable or disable the device independently of the input signals. The emitters of the lower transistors of each bridge are connected together and the corresponding external terminal can be used for the connection of an external sensing resistor. An additional supply input is provided so that the logic works at a lower voltage.

Three-phase commit protocol

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-phase_commit_protocol

Saved by uncleflo on October 12th, 2016.

In computer networking and databases, the three-phase commit protocol (3PC)[1] is a distributed algorithm which lets all nodes in a distributed system agree to commit a transaction. Unlike the two-phase commit protocol (2PC) however, 3PC is non-blocking. Specifically, 3PC places an upper bound on the amount of time required before a transaction either commits or aborts. This property ensures that if a given transaction is attempting to commit via 3PC and holds some resource locks, it will release the locks after the timeout.

Code inComplete - Javascript Game Foundations - The Game Loop

http://codeincomplete.com/posts/2013/12/4/javascript_game_foundations_the_game_loop/

Saved by uncleflo on April 5th, 2015.

In board games, card games, and text-adventure games, the game updates only in response to player input, but in most video games the state updates continuously over time. Entities move, scores increase, health decreases, and objects fall, speed up, and slow down. Therefore we need a game loop that can update() and render() our game world. When running in the browser, all javascript code is executed in a single thread, the UI thread (not counting WebWorkers). Which means we can’t run a naive infinite game loop.
