Putting Raspberry Pi boards into space is nothing new, but the method of achieving orbit often differs. While the Astro Pi computers headed for the final frontier onboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, there are some decidedly lower-tech approaches including, as detailed on the Tindie blog, this $45 RP2040 flight computer from Finnish designer Dan Invents. Combining the RP2040 controller with an altimeter, accelerometer, temperature sensor, and enough juice to power two servo motors (for parachute deployment on the way down), the Rockit (rocket operation computing kit) weighs just 0.18oz (5g) and measures 1.73 x 0.9 x 0.35 inches (44 x 22 x 9 mm). It comes with an open-source firmware pre-installed, and can be tinkered with and updated over micro USB. There's a 16-position rotary switch for adjusting parameters such as start and end positions for the servos, and also a buzzer, so you can more easily find your rocket after a successful landing. Compared to the 2MHz Apollo guidance computer that deposited Neil Armstrong on the Moon, the RP2040 is a powerhouse, and should be more than capable of altitude-based parachute opening and logging flight data from the sensors to a micro SD card. The kit, which costs $44.99, comes with just the board and its pin headers - you need to supply your own battery, servos, cabling, micro SD card and space suit.

The Dock Edge hardware system is designed for use with 1-1/2″ thick lumber (minimum width 6″). All hardware is mounted with carriage bolts. Always use backer plates or other piece of hardware when bolting through wood along with lock washers. This will eliminate the bolt pulling into or through the wood. This will allow the nuts to become loose and fall off. Proper chaining of a dock is critical. Use proper dock anchors (min 250lbs per anchor) and cross chains. If there is no water fluctuation chains may be pulled taut by having a few people stand on the corner while you tighten chain. Use a piano hinge or other arrangement for decking boards over anchor chain corners for easy access for adjustment.

CT Self Assessment applies to APs ending on or after 1 July 1999. The current process, briefly, is as follows. A notice to deliver a company tax return is issued. The company makes a return that includes a self assessment of the tax due. The return must be submitted through the CT Online Service for the vast majority of companies and include accounts and computations in iXBRL format. HMRC has the right to correct obvious mistakes in the return, such as arithmetic errors, but in practice the validation in the CT Online Service prevents customers making many such errors. If the company does not submit a return, HMRC issues a revenue determination that can be displaced only by the submission of a return. HMRC has an explicit right to enquire into the completeness and accuracy of any company tax return.

ITIL describes processes, procedures, tasks, and checklists which are not organization-specific nor technology-specific, but can be applied by an organization toward strategy, delivering value, and maintaining a minimum level of competency. It allows the organization to establish a baseline from which it can plan, implement, and measure. It is used to demonstrate compliance and to measure improvement. There is no formal independent third party compliance assessment available for ITIL compliance in an organization. Certification in ITIL is only available to individuals. Since 2013, ITIL has been owned by AXELOS, a joint venture between Capita and the UK Cabinet Office.[2] AXELOS licenses organizations to use the ITIL intellectual property, accredits licensed examination institutes, and manages updates to the framework.
