Bye Aerospace’s eFlyer 800 is a clean-sheet design that will carry eight people, including one or two pilots. The 800 will have two motors, powered by a grid of electric cells across the airframe. This is the third model in a lineup of electric planes from the Denver-based aerospace firm, but the first with two motors. The eFlyer 2 is a two-seater for professional flight training that was developed when the company launched in 2014, and the eFlyer 4, a four-seater for air taxi and advanced training, came later. Both models have more than 360 orders each. “The eFlyer 800 is the first all-electric propulsion technology airplane that achieves twin-turboprop performance and safety with no CO2 and extremely low operating costs,” said CEO George E. Bye in a statement. The eight-seat aircraft will be competing against turboprops with much higher operating costs, but will have similar interior space and accommodations. Bye Aerospace The eFlyer 800 is Bye’s response to the growing demand for all-electric aircraft that can deliver local and regional flights, but with greater capacity and capabilities, at a substantially lower operating cost than traditional fossil fuel aircraft.

Crocker's Folly - Since 1898

The hotel changed its name to Crocker’s Folly in 1987. In 2004, the pub was placed on the English Heritage Buildings ‘At Risk’ Register and the future looked bleak until it was purchased once again, by The Maroush Group. 'Now we’re proud to show off the Victorian design in our beautiful, Grade II listed building'. Our special saloon bar still features the same 50 kinds of marble, plus Romanesque columns and carved mahogany. The Lord's Room (or dining area) even has the original high ceilings, grand fireplace and spectacular crystal chandelier! We can't wait for you see the way this space has been transformed into the Crocker’s Folly we love today! We’re sure Frank Crocker would be proud.

After three and a half years of sailing around the world and well over 10000 nautical miles we wanted to give you a tour of our floating home as it is now. Nahoa is a 2005 Lagoon 410 owner’s version that has carried us all this way. We have worked hard over these last years to set her up for long term offshore cruising. While there is always a project list and a wish list (new high output alternators, spinnaker, new Genoa), we are very happy with our current setup and wanted to share it with you. Our longest video to date includes a high level view of our main power, navigation and safety systems that enable us to live life off the grid. Don’t worry you also get a detailed tour of the inside of our boat and the comforts that keep us happily sailing around the world! Nahoa has had a huge remodel since we purchased her in 2015. We have done 2 refits to get her setup for comfort and to solve our power requirements. Notice all the beautiful green has been replaced? Well that isn’t all! Below we have a list of some of the main components we have added or replaced. This list does not include basic maintenance items since those are essentially relentless. It does however cover some of the bigger items which were replaced as they broke and wore out. We have found that in the last year, as the boat turned 12-13 years old, we have had to replace more of the remaining systems. Also the previous owner had replaced standing rigging and so that is something we have not had to yet tackle, but it will come up again soon! It all started in Dorset, back in 1946, with local pioneers John Farrow and Richard Ball. Farrow was a trained chemist who worked for Ireland’s Agnew Paints during the Second World War, while Ball was an engineer who survived capture as a prisoner of war. They met at a local clay pit and together shared a passion for making rich colours to original formulations using only the finest ingredients.

Countries that have less-than-stellar records when it comes to dissenting voices must really, really hate Tor. Coincidentally, Russia's Interior Ministry has put out a bounty of around $110,000 to groups who can crack the US Navy-designed privacy network. After the country's vicious crackdown on dissenting voices back in 2012, protestors who hadn't escaped or been jailed began using anonymous internet communication as their first line of defense against the Kremlin. If you're considering taking part in the challenge (and earning yourself a tidy stack of cash to quell your conscious), be warned -- the bounty is only open to organizations that already have security clearance to work for the Russian government.
