Qiskit [kiss-kit] is an open-source SDK for working with quantum computers at the level of pulses, circuits, and application modules. When you are looking to start Qiskit, you have two options. You can start Qiskit locally, which is much more secure and private, or you get started with Jupyter Notebooks hosted in IBM Quantum Lab. Qiskit includes a comprehensive set of quantum gates and a variety of pre-built circuits so users at all levels can use Qiskit for research and application development. The transpiler translates Qiskit code into an optimized circuit using a backend’s native gate set, allowing users to program for any quantum processor or processor architecture with minimal inputs.

The French countryside is home to a wonderful array of bewitchingly beautiful and tranquil towns where you can relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a slower pace of life. From arty adventures and fairytale scenes, to fortified hilltop strongholds, here are nine of the most stunning hidden villages in France. Serving as a gateway to the Gorges du Verdon, this pretty village lies at the base of dramatic cliffs on either side of the Adou river. It’s famous for its decorative faience pottery and the 14th Century Notre Dame de Beauvoir Chapel, which is perched at the top of a steep trail. Strung between the cliffs is a shining golden star, said to have been hung by a knight, which protects the village. Rumoured to be the setting that inspired Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Riquewihr is an enchanting village of winding lanes and secluded courtyards. The colourful 16th century houses that line its streets are full of character thanks to their traditional architecture and flower-adorned balconies. Riquewihr is also known for its outstanding wine, so drop by one of the many tasting rooms during your visit.

An essential part of my work is the occupation with spatial situations within physical space and digital media. I concern myself with terms of interdisciplinary art and experimental space. My knowledge is based on research of perception and narration in space. I work on projects both individually and in groups. Either architecture itself is the focus or the interaction with people is central. Subjects of public space, migration, temporary use and fictional space are negotiated. A humorous view and a technical approach about the interplay of humans, their perception and architecture results in different forms of expression: installation, photography, documentary time-lapse, 3D-print and modular construction. I am a member of the ‘Oberösterreichischer Kunstverein’, chairman of ‘Offene Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst’ and part of the collective ‘Salon Franziska’.

3D models are crucial components of digital production whether we talk about animation, gaming, architecture, industrial design or 3D printing industry. With a minimum of fuss, you can realize your creative ideas if you have the right 3D modeling software. From time to time, the beginners and home users find it difficult to turn the ideas into 3D prototypes and models as most 3D modeling programs are expensive and complicated to learn. People don’t prefer spending hundreds of dollars on software that are for small projects or occasional use. Often beginners don’t have the time and training essential to master the 3D modeling software. Many 3D modeling programs are accessible for beginners to change their ideas into a model. If these models are free, then it will be great for beginners. In this article, you will get acquainted with the best open source 3D modeling software that is free to use. Many customers want a disaster recovery environment, and they want to use this environment daily and know that it's in sync with and can support a production workload. This leads them to an active-active architecture. In other cases, users like Netflix and Lyft are distributed over large geographies. In these cases, multi-region active-active deployments are not optional. Designing these architectures is more complicated than it appears, as data being generated at one end needs to be synced with data at the other end. There are also consistency issues to consider. One needs to make trade-off decisions on cost, performance, and consistency. Further complicating matters is the variety of data stores used in the architecture results in a variety replication methods. In this session, we explore how to design an active-active multi-region architecture using AWS services, including Amazon Route 53, Amazon RDS multi-region replication, AWS DMS, and Amazon DynamoDB Streams. We discuss the challenges, trade-offs, and solutions.

A daemon (or service) is a background process that is designed to run autonomously, with little or not user intervention. The Apache web server http daemon (httpd) is one such example of a daemon. It waits in the background listening on specific ports, and serves up pages or processes scripts, based on the type of request. Creating a daemon in Linux uses a specific set of rules in a given order. Knowing how they work will help you understand how daemons operate in userland Linux, but can operate with calls to the kernel also. In fact, a few daemons interface with kernel modules that work with hardware devices, such as external controller boards, printers, and PDAs. They are one of the fundamental building blocks in Linux that give it incredible flexibility and power. Throughout this HOWTO, a very simple daemon will be built in C. As we go along, more code will be added, showing the proper order of execution required to get a daemon up and running.

This tool provides an efficient implementation of the continuous bag-of-words and skip-gram architectures for computing vector representations of words. These representations can be subsequently used in many natural language processing applications and for further research. The word2vec tool takes a text corpus as input and produces the word vectors as output. It first constructs a vocabulary from the training text data and then learns vector representation of words. The resulting word vector file can be used as features in many natural language processing and machine learning applications. A simple way to investigate the learned representations is to find the closest words for a user-specified word. The distance tool serves that purpose. For example, if you enter 'france', distance will display the most similar words and their distances to 'france', which should look like:
