We use our external USB storage devices, peripherals, and several devices almost daily. When taking out the USB Storage devices, it is advised to use the Safely remove the USB Storage device option. It prevents data corruption in those USB devices. But sometimes, you may see the following error appear, which may prevent you from ejecting the device: Problem ejecting USB Mass Storage – This device is currently in use, close any programs or windows that might be using this device, and then try again. Windows can’t stop your Generic Volume Device because a program is still using it. Close any programs that might be using the device and then try again. It is caused due to the device interacting with the operating system in the background. Today, we will be checking out how to fix this error on Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Right now, I’m on a mission to rebuild a 111-year old (as of 2021) English sailing yacht called Tally Ho. Designed by Albert Strange in 1909, she is a well-known and important historic vessel – but after many adventures she was left in a remote port in Oregon to rot for decades, despite some valiant attempts to rescue her. I bought her and moved her to the Olympic Peninsular earlier this year, and am now starting to rebuild her from the keel up. Eventually I hope to sail her back to the UK. “Terms of Service; Didn't Read” (short: ToS;DR) is a young project started in June 2012 to help fix the “biggest lie on the web”: almost no one really reads the terms of service we agree to all the time. Background. The rough idea behind ToS;DR emerged during the 2011 Chaos Communication Camp near Berlin, with people from Unhosted a movement to create web apps that give users control over their valuable user data and privacy. In the summer of 2012, Hugo Roy (@hugoroyd) started the legal analysis and brought the project to life. Since then, more people have joined the team and have contributed through the reviewer community. Ultimately, all the work is transparent and the discussions happen in public. Our work is funded by non-profits organisations and individual donations and gets released as free software and open data. I remember how excited I got when I first heard about Chocolatey. Did we finally get a package manager for Windows, one of the things I always envied about *nix and OS X(Homebrew)? I was really excited; I told my co-workers sitting around me about this amazing new tool that would finally make setting up new machines and installing applications as easy as a single command. To my surprise they didn't see how huge this was, but I didn't care. I knew how great this would be. Two years later, I have completely given up.

No problem connecting to NFS with firewalls disabled,but even with TCPView it's not obvious which ports require opening.
We've opened port 2049 for both UDP and TCP and all seems well, but there's a selection of ports mentioned across the web for NFS. So with XenServer just 2049? Sharing filesystems by NFS: Regardless of which choice is made for ID mapping you will need to adjust any firewall the system is using so that NFS clients can communicate with the server. You will need to ensure that the following ports are open before sharing any filesystem: UDP: 111, 1039, 1047, 1048 and 2049. TCP: 111, 1039, 1047, 1048 and 2049. See _this article_ Tobias

Mailchimp have suggested adding a CNAME record as following to the DNS records. I am not without experience in these matters and have replaced the 'yoursite.com' with the domain name and as far as I can tell have done everything ok .... but it replies with this. An unexpected error occurred. If this issue continues, contact support. Chat is currently offline so I thought I would ask the question here and see if anyone has had similar problems. Sorry to hear about the error when adding the cname record. I have a suggestion that may help resolve the issue when adding you cname record to your dns zone file. When adding the record you may need to remove the "yoursite.com" section from the record as the cname will already be created as a subdomain of your primary domain. This means when adding the record in the host section it should be added as k1._domainkey only and not k1._domainkey.yourdomainname.com. I also tried this on a test domain to ensure the record would save properly. Below I have also pasted a screenshot of how to properly submit the cname record. If for any reason you continue to recieve and error after adding the record please contact our 24/7 customer support line so that our representatives may further research the error.

I accidentally used dd and wrote over the first 208MB of my external disk. What I wrote over is a partition on its own (Debian nestinstaller) so what I see now is not my old (now damaged) ext4 partition but another smaller partition. This limits the tools and advices I could follow. My plan was to recreate the partition table with testdisk and then fix everything with the backup superblocks as described here. I'd lose the first 208MB but that's ok compared to the other 300GB of data in there. Something like the following:

Hard drive sizes had increased dramatically in last several years, but block device drivers are still outdated. For hard drives more than 1TB currently seems to be an advantage to use GPT instead of legacy MBR partition table. You can see more details at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GUID_Partition_Table. One of the inevitable disadvantage of GPT is the possibility of corruption by using outdated partition editor like cfdisk, or other disk tools, even without any intention to modify the partition. It happened recently on one 1.5TB WD Caviar Green with GPT and one ext4 partition full of data.

This has happened to me a few times, and it’s not a nice problem to find yourself in. You computer won’t boot, all your filesystem checks tell you you’ve a bad superblock, but you cant seem to find how to fix it. Well, here goes :) This guide is for ext4 , though I’ll explain how other filesystems can be cured along the way. The easiest way to carry all this out, seeing as your computer probably won’t boot at this stage, is to download and burn a copy of Parted Magic. Boot from that, and you’ll access to a number of useful tools.

GNU ddrescue is a data recovery tool. It copies data from one file or block device (hard disc, cdrom, etc) to another, trying to rescue the good parts first in case of read errors. Ddrescuelog is a tool that manipulates ddrescue logfiles, shows logfile contents, converts logfiles to/from other formats, compares logfiles, tests rescue status, and can delete a logfile if the rescue is done. Ddrescuelog operations can be restricted to one or several parts of the logfile if the domain setting options are used. The basic operation of ddrescue is fully automatic. That is, you don't have to wait for an error, stop the program, read the log, restart it from a new position, etc. If you use the logfile feature of ddrescue, the data is rescued very efficiently, (only the needed blocks are read). Also you can interrupt the rescue at any time and resume it later at the same point.

As with plenty of others i can assume, Skyrim for the PC is giving me grief. At first it was being a ♥♥♥♥♥ and shutting down my PC should i use the Map and now it's crashing at will. Don't bother accusing my Hardware or Heat as I have tried many many so called "Fixes" to get it working without sudden crashes all to no avail.
Also i have tried "Verifying Game Cache" with steam. Twice in fact, and now I can't load my game at all. I'm stuck on a never-ending load screen... So now I feel like literally re-installing this ♥♥♥♥♥ via deleting it and re-DLing it. One thing i want though is my save file, As i really, really don't wanna start all over again..
