Our solar panel Panasonic HIT® N340 has the highest output of all our products, reaching 340 Watt in just 1.67 m2 of surface. With less than 160cm of length, it has 25% more output power than a standard solar panel of similar size. (265 Watt) In order to continuously increase the quality of its high-performance HIT® modules, Panasonic is focusing on improvements in detail. The frame of the HIT® N340 solar module is now being strengthened from 35 millimeters to 40 millimeters, so that it can withstand wind and snow loads up to 5400 Pa. The frame is anodyzed and black. The HIT® N340 module is also officially released for mounting the mounting brackets on the shorter sides. All HIT® modules still contain Panasonic's water drainage system at the corners of the frame, which ensures reliable water drainage on the module glass. This improves the self-cleaning of the modules. Furthermore, the long-term performance increases due to the reduced pollution and accumulation of dust.

During grid outages PV Inverter production cannot occur, so a home with a PV inverter system installed will not have power during an outage. However for homes that have a PV Inverter system installed and are already selling power to the grid, it is still possible to retrofit backup power using ConextTM XW Pro, XW+ or SW inverter chargers. In a FIT program either ConextTM XW Pro, XW+ or SW is added behind PV inverter to provide backup, no change to PV inverter FIT wiring is required. However backup power is limited to the capacity of the battery bank and the solar system cannot be used to charge the batteries while the grid is down. In a NET metered program the ConextTM XW Pro or XW+ inverter charger is added in front of PV inverter to provide backup power. The PV inverter is rewired from the grid connection to critical load subpanel and AC Couple is on AC Output port.

Sass variables are simple: you assign a value to a name that begins with $, and then you can refer to that name instead of the value itself. But despite their simplicity, they're one of the most useful tools Sass brings to the table. Variables make it possible to reduce repetition, do complex math, configure libraries, and much more. A variable declaration looks a lot like a property declaration: it’s written <variable>: <expression>. Unlike a property, which can only be declared in a style rule or at-rule, variables can be declared anywhere you want. To use a variable, just include it in a value.

The hydro generation or “creating energy while sailing” function is an automatic feature in all Oceanvolt motors. This feature is activated by pushing the button on the Oceanvolt displays for 5 seconds. The display will automatically switch to regeneration mode showing the current generated power, RPM and time until the batteries are fully charged. With a normal folding propeller the motor kicks the blades out and centrifugal force combined with the motor controller keep the blades open. The motor controllers tune the system actively at 10 Hz which prevents the blades from closing (too much braking would close the propellers). This is continuous monitoring, the system will adjust the propeller RPM depending on the boat speed.

The idea of converting human body heat into a form of usable energy has been targeted by scientists for years. A resting human male gives off roughly 100-120 Watts of energy. A very small fraction of this can be utilized by a thermoelectric device to power wearable devices. As an example, Seiko's Thermic Watch managed to capture continuous a charge at only one microwatt, so there is certainly a viable market that has not yet blossomed. It being known that 80% of a typical human's body power is given off as heat, current technologies can only produce a few milliwatts of energy. This is not nearly enough to charge your iPhone at a power input of roughly 5 watts, and unfortunately this sort of efficiency may never be possible.

The world’s first watch equipped with a mechanism for thermal power generation. The thermal power elements generate electricity from the temperature difference between the body and atmosphere and store it as energy in a secondary battery. A full charge keeps the watch running for about 10 months. The Thermic generates electric power via the Seebeck effect, a phenomenon produced when heat transfers from the back of the case to the case surface. To improve energy efficiency further, a power-saving mechanism stops the second hand whenever the watch is removed from the wrist.

This tutorial is intended for the PHP programmer who needs to incorporate PDF generation in a script without using external libraries such as PDFlib (often unavailable due to licensing restrictions or lack of funds). This tutorial will cover only the basics, which hopefully will give you a good start. PDF has a vast set of features and possibilities which can not be covered in a short tutorial. If you need more than what is covered here, you might want to look at some similar yet more complete solutions available, such as the excellent work done by Olivier Plathey on the FPDF class (http://fpdf.org), on which this tutorial is based.
